True. but he fought plenty of guys who were bigger, and also carried a lot of the fighters he fought. Besides, that many fights and rounds, I don't care what kind of gloves they had on. Hard to argue.

Great another wannabe historian. Tell me seeing as he made Jackson look so weak, which of Walcotts fights have you watched? Oh yeah...none. So erm...how many of his KOs are on video? Oh **** yeah...none.

So we have conjecture and reports based on fans and guys like you who think it makes you looked more learned to pick someone like Jeffries in your all time top ten heavys and someone like Walcott as the hardest ever puncher even though you have never watched one of his fights, and ignore the fact that they used MUCH smaller and lighter gloves then which maximises impact and the fact that from 100 victories this monstrous all time best hitter only stopped 58 of them.

In contrast from 55 wins, Jackson has 49 KO's.

So Walcott had a KO percentage of 58%
Jackson had a KO percentage of 89%

Mike Tyson is a harder puncher than Jackson.

i WAS 20.. I sat ringside for it, May 1993..

It was shocking to see how a killer like Julian was blasted by G man so easily.......

Lewis grabbed a win over TNT Tucker to become the first victorious British heavyweight world champ in 100 years to win championship fight inside the ring...

P4P he was not at all. Tyson stopped most guys with barrages of hooks and uppercuts. He would stun someone and then rain in a torrent of accurate and very hard shots.
Jackson would be losing or have landed nothing and then tag someone with one shot and they would be out cold.

Spot on. Jackson is without a doubt the hardest P4P hitter ever who was among the elite ranks of boxing. People don't realise that not all KO's are the same, some poster the other day was crediting Vitali Klitschko as a great puncher, when he was a proficient volume puncher(these types are more dangerous anyway).

If Jackson landed flush, most guys, even ones with proven good chins, were simply lit up, that's a testament to his punching power.

Jackson was the only true one punch knockout artist who I've ever seen or heard of, so yes, I believe that he may have been the hardest puncher P4P all time.

P4P sense.. P4P sense.... Ofcourse you can make a case for these guys, but I don't think they hit harder P4P then the hawk.

Imagine the damage a guy with Jackson's power could do with 4 ounce MMA gloves.:yep

'Beebs' came up with a good idea, bringing back the old school boxing rule set in the ring, which allows exstensive standing wrestling and clinching and throws to do damage, with the MMA gloves.

I'd be interested to see pro boxers compete in this personally, you?
