    Never beat any multi-division champions, WAS CHAMPION FIGHTING PEOPLE WITH LOSING RECORDS IN MEXICO 3 TIMES A MONTH.

    As far as skill goes, he had no defense, he did have a strong chin at lower weights I give him that. Basic offense, easy to hit, did nothing really great.

    He won world titles in 3 different weight classes.
    He beat many legendary champions and holds the record for more championship fights (over 30) than any fighter in history.

    here are some of his highlights:

    I'm biased towards Chavez sr, he was the first boxer I started watching back in the 80's and I was just so amazed with that crazy undefeated record of his. Obviously when you research his level of opposition for his first 80 or so fights, it wasn't littered with top 10 fighters in his division. A good portion of them were against no name guys in MX.

    He still did take on a myriad of good to great fighters, and he would be a tough out for anyone between 130-140 lbs. I only favor maybe a handful or two of fighters over Chavez Sr between 130-140.

    I know , you don't like Chavez cause he's Mexican and accomplished so much in his career, so you, like many foreigners, are jealous of the Mexican's accomplishments.

    :lol::rofl

    Chavez fought and beat champions:

    1.) Edwin Rosario
    2.) Hector Camacho
    3.) Rocky Lockridge
    4.) Meldrick Taylor
    5.) Juan Laporte

    and dozens more...

    all before his 80th fight.

    Chavez never avoided challenges and took on all comers.

    Unlike pussies like Floyd that ducked and avoided challenges.

    Denying that Julio Cesar Chavez is a great boxer is stupid. And pointing out to someone's opposition, while being widespread, is never a good argument, since it can be applied any case.
