Is Keith Thurman packing an egg shell mandible?

Thurman is Iron Jawed and Iron Fisted. bundu barely landed a punch.

 

I don't think that's why he was backing up vs Bundu (I think he was getting experience against a tricky opponent) but if I remember correctly he was buzzed a little by Chaves and Soto Karass so I suspect he isn't iron-chinned at least.

 

It's cause Thurman is a cautious fighter by nature, despite his power reputation. He tries not to get reckless and thinks defense. Bundu was unorthodox and tricky, so Thurman boxed. But it remains to be seen how good his chin is. It will eventually get tested.

 

He seemed buzzed against that first Euro guy he fought a few fights ago also. That doesn't mean he has a glass jaw though. So far he is very hittable. He doesn't seem to roll with shots either, he eats them flush. That he isn't going down tells you he can take a decent shot.

 

I wouldn't say egg shell as he's taken some big shots

But definitly can be cracked

 

Soto Karass rocked him by he recovered well

 

He has actually been down once, but I do think he takes a decent shot. He just isn't Carl Froch.

 

Yeah he freezes up when he's hit don't know if it's a bad chin but it doesn't take much to put him off a bit
