Not a huge fan of Kell Brooks, and I know he's got domestic dustups that would pay him more $$$, and easier wins as well, but only a handful of 135-154 lb fighters have what it takes to beat Mayweather, and we all basically know who they are, and which he will and which he wouldnt fight.

Kell, like Thurman is a rare breed, combining power, defense, speed and counterpunching, while having "questionable" whiskers, offset by good recovery skills, and excellent footwork.

Not exactly the best resume to make the fight, but having the IBF title, while Floyd holds both the WBC and WBA would make this fight potentially a bigger sell than Floyd vs Cotto at 155 for the MW title.

Now, Kell can recoup, and sell huge in UK vs Khan should Khan be victorious over Alexander. But, how much bigger would it be, if Brook went over the LV, and took Floyd out, becoming Undisputed WW Champion of the World.

Just saying.......there IS another option to go against Canelo/Cotto, outside of Pacqioua.:think

    No.

The reason? Kell Brook would defeat Mayweather, and Floyd knows this.

In fact, he'd do more than defeat Mayweather. Floyd would be Lacyied by The Special One. You see how Marcos Maidana- a man who learned how to box from watching Rocky Balboa films- beat Mayweather to the jab?

Well imagine The Special One's fluid, ram rod, piston like jab in Mayweather's gormless dome all night and you have just imagined the end of the Mayweather era.

And take this from someone who's never incorrectly predicted who would win in either a Mayweather or Brook fight in the past. :deal:yep:yep

    =========

In all seriousness though, I don't think so. Brook is not the draw someone like Danny Garica is and would represent a higher risk/ reward.

I think Brook would need at least a win over Khan, and then someone like Marquez to register on Mayweather's radar. But even then a Pacquiao fight is a more likely option.

I think the fight might be to early for Brook in terms of experience it might be another Canelo vs Floyd type of fight ( I know Brook seems to be a better boxer than Canelo). For Floyd I think it might be a chance to pick up another belt so not sure if PPV numbers would be his main focus.

I don't think this fight will happen.

He's got a LOT of fans in the US as well.

And while he's not the draw that Khan was/is, a win or even CLOSE loss to Mayweather would increase his popularity immensely.

As for Mayweather looking at him irt PPV #s.......

I look at it this way.

BHOP is calling out all other Champions througout all of boxing saying he's making the fights to unite the division.

Floyd could take that reasoning as a sell point for a Brook fight especially since their hasnt been an undisputed WW king in ages.:think

Why not?, he just scored his first major victory and in shocking fashion. He definitely belongs up there but I simply can't see him doing any good against Mayweather. Stylistically, Brook is more of a boxer puncher than an all-out aggressor. You have to be a drunk from England or a piece of trash like SuperHans to honestly believe that a boxer puncher who tends to wait will do any good against Mayweather. Mayweather will simply overwhelm that style, as he always did even when he's clearly past his best, and frustrate it all the way to a clear UD.

Pacquiao or Bradley are the only acceptable options.

Brook should defend against the winner of Alexander-Khan, who ever comes out fight's Mayweather in Sept for the Undisputed WW Title(WBC/WBA/IBF)

    He's a top 5 WW titlist...

Just like Maidana was a good opponent for Floyd, so too is Brook.

Pac, Bradley and Khan all deserve it so much more and would all do way better against Floyd.
