no way is he a coward. look at the second and seventh round of his first fight with jermain taylor. that'll tell you how much of a coward he is. I do think Bernard Hopkins has much to do with the slew of withdrawals Pavlik's had since their fight though. just sayin
Not a coward but suspiciously prone to weak immunity. Could it be that this was meant merely as a warm up before fighting Bute but since Bute is going to SHO, he and Arum figure that this kind of warmup is not very lucrative?
No, I don't think Pavlik is a coward. I do think that he... & his merry band of redneck fans all drank out of the same pitcher of kool-aid. After the Taylor fights, they all thought he may be an ATG.....& maybe even one of the best Middleweight Champions ever.... He.. nor they.... ever expected in a million year's,.... that Hopkins....a man 17 years his senior....could ever make him look like a clumsy fool that had no business in the ring with him. Hopkins ****ed him up bad...& I don't think he will ever recover. He may have even had flashback's in the 9th round against Martinez?
Kelly wanted to go ahead with the fight. Leow made the call against Pavlik's wishes. The thread starter should know this, just as most people who follow boxing know. The problem with ESB is that very few of the people who post here actually follow the sport. They watch a few fights and talk a ton of ****, but very few are actual boxing fans.
Does he get in the ring and risk his life, and fight? Then no, he's not a coward. But you're kind of a ***** for phrasing your question like that.
I hate it when so-called fans of the sport call fighters cowards. It's distasteful, pathetic, and just plain wrong.
