What with Pacquiao winning a sixth title at a sixth weight(eight if you count IBO and Ring titles), just say Pavlik were to win a fraction of the Middleweight titles, is he a possible opponent for Pacquiao to win yet another title? With Pavlik looking past his best, would Arum feed Pavlik to Pacquiao in order to further enhance his legacy?

Henry Armstrong, who Pacman is most frequently compared to, nearly pulled of the feat of winning a Middleweight title with a disputed draw against Garcia(weighing 142 pounds). Could you imagine Pacquiao going one better than him and actually winning it? While giving away about 8 inches in height and 3 years in age? Before you call it impossible, how many(including myself) gave him zero chance against Oscar? Think of how unbelieveable it would be to have this guy win titles at Flyweight, Super-Bantam, Feather, Super-Feather, Lightweight, Light-Welter, Welter, Light-Middle and Middleweight. If he were to do this, you'd have to consider Pacquiao as one of the top 5 of all time, or that he fought in boxing's weakest era ever.

    Thoughts?

(I say Pavlik and not Williams/Martinez because Pavlik is with Top Rank and I think Pac has a better chance vs him than those two)

If I was Pacquiao I would fight at middleweight for a title. Its a no lose situation. Lose and it doesnt matter because of the size disadvantage. Win, and he will be a walking legend and possibly the greatest ever. Pac has beaten everyone, its time to move up to middleweight.

Surely he would have a chance. If he can dominate Cotto, De La Hoya and Margarito sirely he can win a belt at middleweight.

Pavlick would get slaughtered. I would genuinely be concerned for his health and well being in this fight. I dont recommend it for Pavlicks sake

lol, that would be a funny fight. Pac is far beyond Pavliks ability but Pac would have serious trouble reaching his face. Would be interesting to see actually.

Pavlik would get pasted from post to post.

    So sure.

It would actually be an entertaining fight too.

i'd rather see him fight a small, highly skilled guy than a lumbering big man who's overrated

It wouldn't be any worse than Pavlik/Martinez,Pac would still win but the reach issues would be a problem.

This goes one of two ways. Pavlik by KO or Pac on cuts.

Pavlik does have a huge size advantage and a decent jab along with a straight right hand. If Pac manages a way around it which i think he would then Pac by cuts. He would be dancing circles around Pavlik. Margarito was very successful when he kept pumping the jab. He shouldnt have stopped throwing it.
