A friend of mine start to bash Pavlik and he was saying that he was a fraud. I dont watch this fighter so what do you guys thing about it?
I voted no. Well he is not a fraud but he was way over rated by loads on here. Still world class and capable of doing a lot more in the sport.
Pavlik is actually underrated. He doesn't look pretty while he does it so people think he's got no talent or skills. He's really underrated nowadays.
solid boxer and a pretty good fighter. he stock shot through the roof with his first win over taylor and maybe he was blown up by that but now all his praise is deserving. one loss to an ATG in hopkins is nothing to mark a man down for.
For me he is O.K and in fact on this forum he is starting to get underrated by a lot of fans. Nice boxing skills and double jab. Nice power and strong right hand. He wasn't at his best against Hopkings and was going up in weight. I'm worried that he has some psychological problems after this fight and he seems afraid from Abraham now. This is a shame. Good fight for him is Paul Williams that I think he has a good chance to beat.
Pavlik is World Class, No shame in losing to Hopkins. He is a top tier fighter hardly a Fraud like your friend says.
No. Most people rate him fine since his loss. A lot even completely overreacted and now underrate him. Before then he was overrated.
Pavlik isn't a great fighter, I personally believe Abraham would smash him to pieces. Pavlik is a very good fighter, not overrated, just well liked and popular.
Absolutely.I personally like him. He's a good, tough fighter and seems like a decent fellow, but by no means great.Tall, good reach, rangy, good chin, very good power, but a slick intelligent boxer who could diversify his attack would give him fits.I was shocked to see how easily he was handled by 2 time loser to Taylor Bernard Hopkins.I'd love to see him fight Arthur Abraham, another boxer I like, but for whatever reason, this fight may never happen. There's no excuse for that fight never happening.
No, his only loss against B-Hop and i heard he was sick...he's the fighter doesn't call off a fight like everybody else are doing right now, he took the chance cause he believe in him!! He destroyed Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor and more to come...I'm looking forward to see him with King Abrham and I bet he Ko the King!!!!
No. His only lost came to B-Hop. Supposedly he was sick. He gave no excuses. I don't see anyone beating him at 160 for awhile.
Yes, he's over-rated. Why? Because he's an American fighter and generally due to the nature and build up of this forum, not to mention boxing media, American fighters get absolutely hyped. He's not the best MW at the moment, Abraham can lay claim to likely beating him. Anyone believing this guy has a chance against Kessler, Calzaghe and co - that's over-rating. From some, he's underrated. The guy isn't terribly bad, he's just not the sort of guy who can fight someone who lasts 12 rounds well.
