He reminds of me of someone like Tommy Morrison, except at 140. Extremely shaky chin, good power, and very inconsistent. But looking at the guy's record, he has some really impressive wins. - Stopped a 26-0 David Diaz - Totally outboxed a 25-0 Isaac Hlatswayo - Again completely schooled a 17-1-2 Mike Arnaoutis - Knocked out a 32-1 Ricardo Torres in about a minute Seems to me like a guy who has the ability to outbox an opponent, but also possesses enough speed and power to stop them. But his technical defensive flaws will always leave him vulnerable to being knocked out and he seems to have no idea how to clinch onto an opponent when hurt.
:good Sorry if I was a bit rude to you in the thread before, but I regard you highly as a member and it just seemed a bit uncharacteristic of you to be replying in such a way. No hard feelings?
He was on his way to getting KTFO in 1 minute but won a freak accident. I dont think he is underrated at all.
He's been down 8 times and stopped twice(although there was some degree of controversy in the first Torres fight), he's a pretty good fighter but with that chin I don't see him holding his title too long, never mind establishing himself as a top 4 Light-Welterweight .
hey as long as he can get back up and hit again hes gonna be entertaining. Hell i thought i lost a good chunk of change guess thoughs lucky shoes worked
I think he is a damn good fighter with a damn shaky chin. Like Intentional Butt said....his recovery time tho is quite impressive.
if he had an iron chin, hed be a real force. unfortunately for him he doesnt so it will limit him...still very entertaining and could upset some good fighters at 140.
he can still pull it off, he has a bad chin but i think he can compensate that with his skills, plus he got decent power imo and could pull off an upset
The next logical move for Holt would be to challenge Bradley, try to unify and wait to see what happens with Hatton/Malignaggi...... Holt-Bradley could be a decent scrap.........
Hold has a good punch and crazy hand speed. On that note, tought he got lucky. I would take torres for a rubber match. If torres covers up and apply pressure, I give him an edge over Holt.
Water under the bridge; I probably was going overboard. I'm actually glad and appreciative to be told to reign it in if need be. :good
