What are you guys thoughts is he wasted talent or do you feel he was never that good to begin with. I'm going with wasted talent dude had fast hands height and the speed sure his chin was bad but I felt he could have been much better than he showed he is like the NJ version of Zab and is now a stepping stone for younger fighters Thoughts?
He's one of my favorite fighters its too bad he was abit inconsistent. There were times he'd box very well and other times he'd trade bombs with the best, but he never combined both. He'd do much, much better if he became more a boxer/puncher. Needs to pace himself badly cuz he's gassed in important fights, keep his opponents at the end of his jab so he won't get lured into brawls which he's been drawn into in the past, and don't forget any body punching. Its good that he's boxing because you can't ko all your opponents but I still got hope for him he needs to think and fight like a champ so he can get to that elite level. Needs to fight every round like it was the first and be defensively much better. He's a vet now he made mistakes hopefully he's learned from them. He's one of the fighters I really hope he does well.
Wasted talent. Good power and speed, poor work rate. Could have done much better than he has. I still wonder how Bradley got up from that left hook
Too bad that him and Zab are friends otherwise i would suggest that they fight. I think Holt beats Judah
hes lost everytime hes looked like facing a world class fighter. Around the time of timbo fight he was being talked about as a major name the in the division
The guy is an idiot. You should see some of the things that he has posted on Facebook over the years. I personally believe he knew he had the talent but decided to squander it because he knew he could get away with not having to work as hard as other fighters. Basically, no killer instinct; no discipline; general laziness.
He is. If Holt got his act together people would see just how good Bradley's win over him was. He seems lack mental focus imo. Against Bradley he went into his shell and stopped using the jab once Bradley got up and put it on him. He allowed Danny Garcia to pick pocket him and would not let it hang out when he really needed to.
