I'm a big fan of Kessler, but to me it looks like he wants to call it a day. Sauerland want to cash in on ther investment, Stiegelitz was to expensive so we'll find a cheaper opponent. Rotten

If I would be a fan of Kessler I woud be very frustrated, that's for sure. I think his fans deserve more that what's he doing now. It's hard even to get any info on him nowadays.

^^^^ What I think as well. Nevertheless his body seems to be breaking apart from a long life with rigorous training so there's not many fights left. I'm guessing 3 at the max.

Not done, barring more injuries - but definitely nearing the end of the road. He could still do a couple of big fights, though, if he can only get fit.

His body is clearly turning into glass, he just can't handle it anymore.

Kessler is still an elite fighter & isnt finished yet.

Is there anymore news on him moving up to 175lbs?

No. Sauerland said that there's a shortlist containing 5 potential opponents. 3 of them are known: Magee, Balszay and Cloud. The two remaining are kept secret, but are believed to be north american.

I still think it'll be Magee which is quite a downgrade from Stieglitz.

    Isn't Balzsay fighting Sartison next?

Yeah. But those are the guys mentioned. Maybe Sauerland thinks about paying Sartison off?

I think that he's slightly past prime and, in addition, he has had too many lengthily layoffs due to injury, legal and personal reasons.

I think we need to watch his next fight carefully before rushing to say "he's done" - but maybe he is:think

Age is not nice on Mikkel, he should retire and not let boxing retire him. I am sure he's made enough money from boxing.

If it is Magee next time out (As I think it will be) I hope Bute or Ward is next. Not much time left for Kessler.
