is kessler underrated on esb..?

    Yeah, there is both a lot of respect for Kessler; and to a slightly lesser degree, a lot of disrespect for him.

    Most of the disrespect comes from people who haven't been watching Kessler for any length of time, and who haven't followed any of his opposition to know exactly how good they were.

    He has a legit claim to being the best SMW (and that isn't based on his loss to JC).

    Now it is time for him to prove it.

    Most overate him to be honest...... at the moment his record pretty much says protected belt holder to me.

    That is why I cringe when I see my fellow fans making ridiculous claims. Kessler still has to prove he is the best. Not just the guy that looks the best in the ring, or did wel against Calzaghe, he needs to actually do it.

    But then there also the people that call him a stiff, Danish pastry, robotand have no respect whatsoever!

    It pretty much evens out...as it does with every fighter. Nobody is universally loved or hated, except maybe John Ruiz.

    I made a poll about who would win between Kessler and Chad Dawson, and the majority chose Kessler.

    So no, definitely not underrated. Overrated is more true.

    ill agree with this, no reason to declare him a god, yet.

    kessler had an injury which required surgery,yet still competed and fought closely with joe. Doesnt that in some sense "prove" , that mikkel really is an elite level fighter or really really close to. Personally i cant see many guys competing with calzaghe, and even fewer with a serious injury.

    Kessler is a good fighter, but BASED ON WHAT HE HAS ACTAULLY DONE IN THE RING he is the single most over rated fighter on this website.

    At one point he was underrated on this forum. I've been a Kessler fan for sometime but as of now hes is a bit overrated.
