Khan isnt a "very hard" puncher.Speed is power and thats his forte. His a spiteful puncher with a respectable dig but not a concussive puncher.Punches you dont see hurt you because you cant react to them.In this respect his a similar puncher to PBF.Who although wont hurt you with a concussive punch he will get your attention purely because of his speed and precision.

Amir Khan is a ****ing hard puncher, No question. It is irrelevant weather you see them coming or not.

didnt he break limmonds jaw ?
    i bet that f***kin hurt.
he realy does need a good test to prove himself instead of the gentle warren money trickle to keep him sweet and earning.

You`ve never boxed before have you.Riddle me this.A punch that you dont see coming -ala the check hook that PBF hit Hatton with- would you say it could hurt you more if your not expecting it?

im not a khan fan but hes a huge puncher. for me the limond and then earl fights were his tests to seehow far he has come and as much as i hate to admit it hes now the best lightweight in the UK now IMHO.

Got to agree.he passed both with flying colours.Limmond was no slouch and Khan hurt him bad and he did the same to Earl.Id like to see him cement himself more domestically by getting some names like Thaxton Meagre or Mccallister on his resume and then he can make the march to europe and then world honours.

No he didn't , and I wish that rumour would stop . Willie even came on here telling us that the damaged ear drum(aswell as some bruising) was his only injuries received in this fight .

Think that rumour started because the when the fight was stopped it was announced Limond had a suspected broken jaw but it was later confirmed this wasn't the case.

Khan's power does seem to have improved but it was interesting that Limond said Alex Arthur hits harder having faced them both.

I think i have seen nearly every one of khans pro fights,i think i learnt more about khan in the limond fight than any other. He punches good enough for domestic level certainly, and after limond i think he has been instructed to settle down a bit and put his hands up,pick his punches and sit down more on them. I can see he is progressing and learning,i think he needs however to take it a bit slower on his 'world' title aspirations (unless he want the wbu/wbf!) in order to learn the pro game and face some good european and american fighters.
Though earl was the best fighter he has met on paper that fight hasnt really tested khan. I had a horrible feeling after the limond fight that khan was chinny, but maybe it was his inexperience and weightmaking, khan is a growing lad and needs to be above 135,especially at his height, earl looked tiny next to khan.
Only time and much better opposition will tell how could khan is,but naz was a truely awesome one punch hitter and a much better fighter than khan at the same age,if hes half as good as naz he will be alright.
Finally,i know khan is young but i dislike his bolton 'boy next door' image,it gets on my nerves that millionaires like hatton and khan think they are still 'jenny from the block'....

It just looks like a familiar pattern of fast flurry of punches until the ref steps in to me.

I think the flurries will be something that decrease in volume as time goes on...sitting down on his punches properly is definitely the way to go, and Khan seems to be gradually realising that. The shots to knock Earl down in the first place were solid and heavy, and even the usual finishing flurry looked a bit more solid and less rushed.

Khan's handspeed is tremendous, but that doesn't mean that he always has to be chucking punches in tens and twelves!
