It would, because it would be more proof that to an extent that he wasn't good enough to be selected. The fact is though, Haroon getting a medal and Stubbs not is not proof he should have been selected, because there is no way he would have been picked over Yafai and rightly so. It's not like Stubbs was selected ahead of him, he just moved up in weight.

 

I have a lot more respect for Khan than I do for Haye any day!

 

Assuming we are talking about Haroon Khan then no. An example of a hero is somebody who runs into a burning building to save somebody without equipment, training and for no money.

A spoilt brat living off his older brothers name and whines like a teenage girl isn't a hero or even close to being one.

It's funny because despite me being an Amir Khan fan I utterly despise his brother. He made some comment like "British Asians will be protesting in the streets over me not being picked" really that is how much of an utter **** he is, yes I'm sure countless British Asians are going to sacrifice their own valuable time so that they can take to the streets and protest the massive injustice of a spoilt little boxer who didn't get picked by England for the Commonwealth Games.

PS. You'd think after all the money the Khans have made you'd think they'd have enough to get their fathers stereotypical British teeth fixed wouldn't ya.:hi:

 

This is Haroon's best performance in a senior meet, he performed really well as a Junior but found adapting to the seniors tough and im sure ive heard he's not as good a trainer as his brother. Gotta be honest, injured Kal Yafai aside (maybe Anthony Joshua) it was a good selection and 5 medals verifies that enough as a team. As a GB outlook all 4 of the 'home nations' have achieved well and the outlook is good for the next couple of years. Competition for places is always good but for me Haroon is no competition for Yafai, that kids a special talent whilst Khan is going above expectations in 1 tournament (as opposed to Yafai having Olympic experience and Euro's Silver...)

he probably wont even be a hero in pakistan when khalid yafaii beats him either


he threw his toys out of the pram and behaved poorly afterwards but he chose to box for another country to have the oppurtunity to fight, cant blame him for that its not like he killed somebody.

A little bit picky there man but fair do's, you are right on the defintion but its not really the point I was making. Khan was rightfully not picked for Englands squad and is not my hero thats for sure!

 

There's nothing heroic about boxing, it's entertaining yes, heroic no.
