No. The wheels on the bandwagon will soon fall off. Too much too soon, He is gona getting knocked out soon as he steps up a level. He has talent but is overrated.
Not yet, he's doing great fighting similar competition as he's doing now then I'm pretty sure he'll step up to the higher level in 2009, hope a rematch with Limmond is set this year.
Same Comp, YES! It's that step up and big fight in the states that kills any over seas fighter. (Patiently wait's for someone to pull JC outta their ass)
The lightweight division is weak right now. Khan should jump straight to welter and take on Cintron. After that he should take away Cotto's belt and then unify with Mayweather. No other fighters can touch him.
It's still early in his career, he still gets tagged and needs to improve his defence. He's still improving, i guess thats why he wants a new trainer to take him to the next level. I dont see the problem in him fighting mediocre fighters at the moment, theres no point taking it to the next level if he's not ready yet, remember he's only 21. I think if Khan gets a new trainer, somebody like mayweather then i think he can become a champ at lightweight, light welter and possibly welterweight in the future.
Khan's no where near ready in my humble opinion. He's only been in with light hitters who aren't particularly agressive and dont press him physically or styalistically. I think he's a very good talent, but nothing more, he didn't wow me when I saw him like the Prince, who you knew was something special even as early as his first couple of fights. Amir has a lot to do to convince me and some others. I'm not calling him a hype job by the way, nothing of the sort in fact, I respect what a boxer goes through to be where they are, but Amir has been VERY carefully matched and I just dont think he's had enough variation in his opponents to be considered anywhere near ready. I'd like to see him in against some tough, straight forward brawlers, spoilers or anyone who goes in there to hurt and not box an opponent. He needs that chin checking basically, if he loses, then it's time to see how good he really can be and get some of that Floyd Mayweather family defense (I dont mean their lawyers... although with his driving...)
i do not think he is ready to fifht for a belt but he should be put in the ring with a former champ who is still top 10-15 rated to see what he can really do. his chin needs to be tested he needs to be punched so we can see how big his heart is
Kahn is afraid to fight anyone who can punch harder then a common house wife. If they punch less hard? Yeah, Kahn will fight them. What a joke.
warren will protect him still and not let him in over his head. lot of money riding on khan. remember khan v a nobody gets 6 million plus viewers. if khan was american his promoter would rap him up in cotton wool as well if he was doing those numbers.
