I have always enjoyed watching his fights from the dawn of his career.

I am sure he can bring some excitment to the world stage.

It's not just his chin, he's exciting anyway. He throws a lot of punches, and his handspeed is impressive in there. Plus he almost exclusively thinks about attack, he can't spell defence.

yeh, which is why i dont get why people hate him. inside the ring he is the perfect fighter to watch.

i think if khan had never gone to the olympics people would be going ape **** about him on here.

The Khan fights are not very exciting because he never faces fighters who can hold a hope of beating him. Maybe if he had faced a varied style of opponents through out his career he may have bben exciting but at the moment his career is a joke.

Rob - to answer your query please read the post after yours!

Khan is a good up and coming fighter, but the way he goes on sometimes you would think he had schooled Floyd Mayweather

He is being fed easy wins, which wouldn't be that much of a problem but for all the publicity he is given and the fact that he has released a book - I mean, what does he have to write about other than an Olympic silver medal (well done, by the way) and beating a few chumps and guys past their peak?

If every silver medal winning athlete, in any sport, released a book straight away then you wouldn't be able to get in WH Smiths!

I agree. The whole thing wouldn't amount to a hill of beans if it wasn't for all the publicity and Khan and his people bigging him up. I don't mind young up and coming fighters saying what they are going to do to the division, ambition is a good thing, but it should really be said partly tongue in cheek, but you have to show proven fighters above you in the rankings due respect.

If you look at the records of my two favourite fighters, Duran and Hagler, they fought men in their first twenty fights who would have had trouble being recognised in their local towns never mind being ranked....why should Khan be any different?

Every fighter is generally fed a few sacrificial lambs earlier in their career, which is no problem.

Khan was stepped up to a decent level really early facing Komjathy, who is a tough fighter, but since then the standard has been improved on only a couple of occasions. If any normal boxer was fighting Gomez in his 18th fight - that would be fine, but Amir seems to think he is something really special by ducking the domestic and european scene!

He maybe exciting but if he gets in with a top guy then we may see whether he can make a silly mistake and live with it.
