I saw a thread on Khan and someone made a very good point. No matter what you think of him, he's been in consistently great fights. Pretty much every fight I've seen since the Kotelnik (minus Mccloskey) has been exciting or contreversial in some sort. The only other fighter I can think of with that kind of consistency is Victor Ortiz....

The most exciting mainstream fighter? He's definitely one of the most exciting fighters in boxing, but you asked is he the most exciting "mainstream" fighter and I have to say no cause you still have Pacquiao,Rios,Marquez.

I only said mainstream as in casual sports fans know his name and they might not know a maidana for example. I think Marquez has had a couple of stinkers like Fedchenko and Pac vs Marquez 3 wasnt all that. Same with Pac. Rios I can see, Acosta and Alvarado are some of the most exciting fights ive seen in the last few years

Yeah, people love Froch in the states. People in LA even know who he is.

Khan too, Pacquiao. Khan actually gave me beer in an elevator once  a top man.

Honestly, I would say Pacquaio, Mayweather, Marquez, Cotto, and Ortiz are the only mainstream fighters. I doubt the general public in the USA knows who Khan or Froch are. Rios might be known in the Mexican community though.

tough one. But maybe. Even when fighting a journeyman you don't now what will happen.

Boxing has some exciting fighters at the minute.

Tough comp, but its Khan, Ortiz and Manny for me.

    Depends what you love.

Do you like seeing a guy trundle forward getting their face bashed in then KO'ing their opponent? - Rios is your man

Do you like a *** beating up a midget? - Broner is your man

Do you like the pure art of defensive boxing? - go for Mayweather
