Yes, when Pacquiao retires he'll be a powerbroker in boxing. He's proving his detractors wrong like Pacquiao's way.
No he runs to much, oscor never ran that much, oscor stayed in the center of the ring, look at khan, he trained with pacman, then what does he do, acts like pacman in the ring, rasing his arms in the same mannor as manny, seemes like a roach/manny trained seal with skills, a good sparring partner for manny. Marcos was little to wild, when he did set up his upper cuts, it was diffrent khan he was fighting, one who lacked the confidence, an was hurt. yea maybe in the UK he can be the next hatton. But who to say khan would win a rematch.. Saying this, when khan is on the outside, he will be very hard to beat.
Oscar had better counterpunching skills than Khan and fought more elite early on. You could tell Oscar was the cream of the crop even when he had 5 fights. Khan is good, but not as developed as Oscar was.
I agree with Leon and this post. Many people undervalue the opponents Oscar beat because he went through them so quickly. I also think Oscar would have ko'd Maidana quickly.
Did this fight though remind anyone else of De la hoya vs Tito? Of course it was exciting whereas the other wasn't, but the general outline was the same as the styles (kind of) with the boxer running from the puncher at the end.
Khan is in the right neighborhood Oscar built his legend beating greats like Chavez Vargas Mayorga Quartey list goes on and heroically fought Moseley twice and almost beat Tito Khan has Alexander Bradley Floyd Manny Cotto Margarito Williams Martinez Juanma Gamboa all within a few weights above or below he knocks off atleast half those guys and hes a star
