Is Kid Gavilan the 2nd best H2H welterweight of all time?

    Please elaborate Manassa.
    It is very close that group of welters...but fifth might be too far down the list in H2H...IMO.
    When Gavilan was at his very best...he was special...and very difficult to beat. Who in your opinion, who offsets the frenetic attack of the incredibly durable Gavilan?

    Who beats him? Robinson, Napoles. Duran, Griffith and R. Leonard are 50/50s; I slightly favour Gavilan over Hearns.

    When you do a greatest list it is silly enough. A proper head to head list is almost impossible, because the fighter you put at number one, may lose style wise to number nine. Thus number nine becomes number one, but the former nine loses out style wise to former numbers, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight; hence the reason he was number nine....;)

    I would personally put Ray Leonard as the second best welterweight of all time with Hearns being #3. However i might be biased to fighters from that era.
