He's certainly top 5 ATG heavyweight for me, but as a straight H2H I think he's probably the one who would come out on top, percentage wise. There's always a small chance he will get starched of course, but he was an excellent boxer, with great power and ring intelligence. I just wish we could have seen him handling Robot Wlad before he retired. :deal
Yep. He beats everyone head to head. If they was all teleported to this era of stricter drug testing he would clearly identify himself as the best of all time too.
I'd still go with an 87-88 Tyson. And there are some bad match-ups for Lewis out there regardless. Top 5 though.
Yes I think so. 6.5 without being too skinny, great reach, fast hands, pretty strong, great jab, great power, decent chin, smart fighter.
He'd be a good pick. I sort of have a short list with Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Holmes and Foreman. If they had a tournament of the ATG top 10 in which a fighter had to won 2 out of 3 H2H fights. l think one if these guys would win the tournament. I'd probably consider Lewis and perhaps Ali as the favorites.
Certainly one of them without question. He doesn't really have a lot of weaknesses. All I can say to knock him is that he had an average chin and was a bit inconsistent sometimes. At his best though ... watch out.
Does anyone else think that vitali would be a h2h monster? Lennox is a h2h nightmare for every boxing great. Lennox, Ali and vitali
Id have Vitali up there as the most awkward. Bloody nightmare that fella. great Chin heavy hands work rate. ugly awkward style. Height reach. Lewis could be vulnerable when he took u lightly
