Seriously much of what he said at the press conference would be more appropriate on Comedy Central. This guy had me cracking up like Chris Tucker and Bill Bellamy's classic 90's standup.
He only sounds comic because him being a boxer soon-to-be-KO'd puts his words into sarcastic perspective. It's the kind of humor you often see in TV when everybody but the character realize the complete opposite is about to happen than the character's words would suggest. You could also use the term "suspense", a technique often used in thrillers when we know an extra information (something bad is about to happen to the character) but the character has no knowledge of this information. Also, after Saturday night, he might not called a "stand up", but a "stayed down" comedian.
This is VItali's Ray Austin, and we all know what happend to Ray Austin when he fought Wlad;but vitali being more sadistic I imagine he'd try to drag it out to punish Johnson.
Man this is what makes boxing fun to watch. Oh man eating those words is going to be so painful. Then again if he pulls it off? Wow!
