For those of you who remember me,I am one of Kirks biggest fans!Do you guys feel he will fight again,or should he just pack it in. I think he wasted most of his prime and could have done alot more in the game! I think he may fight again,but who knows!:huh
The only reason Kirk Johnson is still relevant in boxing is because every time I post about Kevin Johnson, ie "Hey so nearly all the things people praise Eddie Chambers for are true of Kevin Johnson as well, how come one is poised for stardom and the other virtually unknown?" some people inevitably go "Huh? Kirk Johnson?" and I'm all like "No."
ha. all i can remember about him is when vitali ko'd him and merchant said something like, "that whale was just harpooned"
he's done ....stick a fork in him...there has been chatter here and there about a comeback.....but nothing yet....and even if he does come back at this point...he won't be the same.....to long a lay off and too many buffay's can take a toll on a guy.
too bad too, he had some talent.... just not the work ethic, spirit, or heart.... i didnt like seeing him get beat up by vitali, to me it didnt look like he is a fighter at heart, and i felt sorry for him... and i mean that in a good way. i think he should just retire, or fight C and B- class fighters if he wants to make a living in boxing.... He could actually have a good run if he got a good promoter and quit being lazy.... Mesi, Guinn, Barret, i think he would beat if in good shape.... and i wouldnt mind seeing how him and brock work out if they fought.
