Is Kovalev HOF worthy?

If andre ward will end up in the hall of fame then kovalev should too considering he beat him in the first fight and got punched in the balls to submission in the 2nd one.

- Victorious against Hopkins, Pascal twice and controversial first loss against Ward

If he was American yes he would be. As he is Russian, I am less certain.

 

I reckon so. I remeber the fight with Cleverly and the embarrasing ring entrance only for Krusher to absolutely maul him like a red headed step child. Nathan was game to be fair but trying to exchange in the pocket with a prime Krusher was not the best idea considering Nathan had feather dusters and Kovalev had horse shoes.

 

He’ll get in at some point.

 

Okay but you can count one of those Andre Ward losses for him and the second one is incredibly dubious too.

Sucks that he won't get recognition because of the Canelo loss. In his prime he was a beast and would give any LHW ever trouble. He was also avoided so his resume isn't great

The first Ward robbery led to a series of misfortunes. Even the recent PED thing was probably due to getting KO'd by a guy who fought in sub MW weight classes.

The most remarkable thing about the Canelo fight was how Kovalev had taken big shots from natural LHW's and recovered, but was slumped like never before when Canelo connected. Nobody expected that. And Kovalev's drinking had nothing to do with it. That KO happened due to Kovalev being drained and still brain bruised from the Yarde fight in combination with Canelo's PED use.

BS. Sorry but totally BS. Simple revisionist history. Dre won both fights and particularly the 2nd he took his soul, his heart and his identity. Krusher Kovalev has never been the same.
