Not necessarily in terms of his ability (which is outstanding too), but all-round. He takes the best fights possible and isn't afraid to do it in the challenger's home town. He boxes with authority; happy to take a punch and delivers a savage beating to all his opponents. Is there anyone else in any division this applies to? Wlad, at a push?
Kovalev, Wlad, GGG. Best in their respective weight classes, and extremely eager to face all comers. Inb4 accusations of racism for mentioning these 3 side by side
Not sure the "happy to take a punch" bit applies to Wlad. He also holds and leans a lot and didn't avenge defeats.
Not even close, try Floyd May weather... I wish Andre Ward would get in the mood to fight again, he would Dump Kovalev on his a$$, too slow for Ward...
Wlad is not extremely eager to face all-comers. He fights twice a year, and one of them is usually a bum no one wanted to see.
Seems like Kovalev and GGG generate the greatest interest in their respective fights. Klitschko is at a disadvantage there aren't really any significant opponents for him that he hasn't already fought unless you're British. Mayweather seemed to avoid his biggest challenge for years.
imagine Kovalev, GGG or Wlad demanded glove size, the referee of their personal choice or ring size, they'd be crucified
wlad is nothing like kovalev. string of bums and they still destroy him in his prime. where are the strong of bums destroying kovalev in his prime?
