Chisora is not a top contender, never was. But he knows how to take the fight to his opponent, how to make it competitive and how to score some shots. While It seems that Wlad completely destroyed Pulev's chin(he was able to take clean shots from Dimitrenko pre-Wlad), and even if you ignore Pulev's previous wins over Ustinov, TT and Dimitrenko, a clear cut win over DelBoy is more than enough to make you a top10 heavyweight.

You have to look at the win around the time it was. People were all over Helenius before and after. Malik Scott was rated very highly by people before the Chisora fight and before the Wilder fight. Malik Scott got broken down and didn't want to keep fighting.

If you look at everyone's resume under a microscope, no one would be an elite fighter.

I cannot put Joshua in the top 5. His best win is Martin. Martin shouldn't have ever been in the top 10. IDC if he was a beltholder. He was #15 at most.
Also, Martin shouldn't be in the top 10 at all anymore.

    To finish my list:

    Fury
    Klitschko
    Povetkin
    Pulev
    Ortiz
    Wilder
    Jennings
    Joshua
    Takam
    Browne/Stiverne

If Browne's win over Chageav doesn't stand, I'd put Stiverne in his place. I see some people put Stiverne in the top 10 still, but his win over Arreola hasn't aged well. He's also done nothing since.

I'm not saying he was an elite fighter, but he's a good name to have for a deeper resume. This is why I put Pulev over Ortiz.

I can see it, except that Stiverne should not be on the list. Before his "championship" he was a guy who gets stopped by Demetrice King, and after it he is a guy who gets dropped by Derrick Rossy. He sucks. Always has, always will.

I will bet he never even fights again.

I give him a shot against them. Less of a chance against Joshua because of his good hook.
Wilder has an improved left, but his right hand is by far his bread, and butter.
Pulev would out jab either man, but would be susceptible to power shots.

My top ten list is unfinished, I am sure for seven fighters :
Klitschko, Fury, Joshua, Povetkin, Wilder, Haye, Ortiz - this is obvious. The rest is very questionable , I have to mention Parker, Takam, Teper, Stiverne, Browne and Pulev. Jennings is very underrated on this forum, we'll see soon if ih is capable to be member of top ten HW club. I would like to see Pulev vs Stiverne (50/50 imho)..........
