the guy has it all, he could be the best heavyweight today, he has natural talent and raw power but he is not dedicated, he wins a big fight and then comes out of shape in his next fight, he is too lazy, he could have been like mike tyson if he wanted.

I would say Bowe had ten times more talent than Brewster. Brewster is not that great of a fighter.

Hes a good fighter but not a wasted talent. There are manny guys more talented than him. And i have to disagree with the dedicated part, i think hes is verry dedicated! More than most other heavies. His strenght is his punch and determination, as well as his chin and his heart. Hes just a tough fighter!
And if he beats Wlad again he can be verry happy aboit his archievements, to me hes not a underarchiever.

Relentless dont worry, Lamon will write history tomorrow and you bet on it.
One thing is for sure, Lamon ALWAYS brings excitement, in shape or not.. hes got the biggest heart in boxing today and deserves to be called champ. :happy:bbb

I disagree because I don't see that he does have it all. His technique isn't the best, and his jab is almost non-existent.

I think Brewster has probably gotten about as much out of his talent as he could. He's just a tough guy with a good punch. So of course he would win some big fights and lose some others. I don't believe he is anywhere close to being as talented as Tyson and Bowe were. Clearly their skills and attributes were superior.

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

Brewster is not a complete fighter, he doesn't have speed, footwork, flexibility, etc. The guy is very raw but pretty good in his sluggish style.

brewster has the physical ability, he was not taught how to use them properly.

Brewster puts everything in the ring 100%, nothing else.
The battle belongs to the lord, with Brewsters personality, and his charisma.. he can beat anyone today :good

Lamon is not an underachiever imo, if anything he is an overachiever. His punch is good, but not great and he is far from a technical or technically sound fighter. He does have great dedication and resilience though, he does not give up.

I expect Wlad to end the fight within the distance, although I would not be surpised if Lamon repeats (more than likely > 5 rounds). Imo Wlad lost his composure (probably because he would not be able to sustain the workrate for 12 in that fight) when he hit Lamon with everything but the kitchen sink, but still he kept coming.

I expect Wlad to be more paced. I also expect him to mainly jab early with the occasional right till Lamon is fatigued and open. An if factor would be the clinching, as Lamon is more crouched in fighting style than Peter and throws shorter punches (= harder to clinch effectively).

p.s. I do feel that Lamon carried his title with more honour than the other titleholders post-Lewis. Wlad is making a good first step in absence of unification. A Wlad victory over Brewster would have been more impressive before he lost to Lyakovich, when he was champ and more confident. Still a good fight considering their common past and the available fighters today.

I think that this is the most dangerous opponent for Wlad right now and assuming that Brewster isnt totally shot, he really is showing his desire to beat the best.

Of course not. Lamon isn't even all that talented.

Guys like Ike Ibeabuchi and Ricardo Williams are more deserving. And Panchito Bojado, unless he does some great things in the future.
