Riddick Bowe was ten times the fighter that Brewster is..

Brewster would have been unworthy of challenging even a finished Bowe..

Brewster is ok but in no way comparable to Riddick...

I think you may be confusing laziness with a lack of talent.

I think Brewster is a very effective swarming/ bumrush fighter, but when it comes to boxing skill, he seems to get beaten, just about everytime against a decent boxer.

He's got power in spades, and a very durable chin, and is as tough as can be, and has a huge fighter's heart, but his overall boxing skill does not seem to be world class.

    Kali Meehan was outboxing Brewster.

I wouldn't say Brewster is supremely talented or that he "has it all". He has very good power, great heart, and an above average chin. But he isn't particularly big, fast, or skillful. I would say he makes the most of the talent he has. His lack of technique and defense is why he will always be vulnerable against skilled opponents

Golota was a much bigger waste of talent than Brewster and there are a lot of others you could argue as well

This thread can't be serious. Brewster overachieved.

    B- level fighter at best.

Lamon certainly has potential he never realised due to a lack of consistent dedication, and perhaps not getting better trainers. He's always relied heavily on his left hook, but he has a good straight right, decent left and body punching. It's a shame that he couldn't have a trainer that helped him make the most of what he had and mix up is attack a little more. Considering what his defence is I don't think it's out of the question it could have also been improved to some extent.

I disagree. Brewster isn't, never was, and never will be the best heavyweight. And, Brewster cannot compare to Bowe. Bowe wasn't a waste of talent either. Had it not been for the Golota beatings, he'd have kept boxing and we would have probably seen him fight Lewis, Tyson, and so on. Golota destroyed Bowe... forever. Golota even destroyed Golota.

The guy has talent but you are over exaggerating it a bit. Obviously, he is a guy who fights in spots... that is just him. The reason why he takes a great punch, is because he is sitting there absorbing shots while he is reserving himself. If he fought aggressive all of the time, he would get caught with some huge shots that would put him out. Like a David Tua. Has a great chin, because he can sit there, turtle up and eat shots that he is watching come at him.

Brewster didn't have much talent to waste. He was a big strong guys and it seems like thta is what it takes to be a solid contender these days. He never showed me anything to make me believe that he could have been more than he was.

i don't think you know what talent is man. Hes got power yes, he is tough, and has a good chin. His biggest win in his career was him taking a crazy beating and then the other guy gassing out. He doesn't do anything that would show him being an amazing athelete at all.

I see Brewster as more of an overachiever than an underachiever.
