Is Lamont Peterson The First Slick Black American Khan Will Have Faced?

I thought both Petersons were more orthodox fighters with good fundamentals. They don't rely on counter punching like a slick fighter would.

Decent fight for Khan will be more of a gauge to see where he is at being measured against Vic Ortiz & Bradley. Should have enough to win this comfortably in my opinion.

Can Punch? and is Slick?.......He's no Mark Johnson...he fought lower against Ortiz for some reason...personally believe he lacked confidence until round 4 when he caught Ortiz with solid shot and found success.

He's a solid fighter with solid skills but he's not slick. I like Lamont and he's a good guy with tons of heart and has good fundamentals.

 

Yeah, I've seen Pac pulled up a few times on the GF for fighting the wrong coloured fighters.

i was making the cpomparison as people often talk about khan and pacquiao in the same sentence, its been mentioned that pac-man apparently aint faced any black fighters and, co-incidently their now saying the same thing with khan:good

 

Sigh. I really hate when people call black fighters slick just because they are black and the preconceived idea is that they are automatically slick. Peterson is a basic fighter.
