154lber weight bully Crawford got rocked by tiny Gamboa.... Crawford is a 154-160lber that has boiled down to 135-147lbs for years. The guy casually walks around at 170-80lbs whilst at the same time not looking like a porky pie
Has Crawford ever missed weight? If not then you have zero argument because every other fighter could do the exact same thing...its within the rules and legal. And yes Crawford is human and like literally every other boxer in history has been hurt before. If opponents werent working Crawfords body at the lower weights that's both on the opponents and a credit to Bud's boxing ability.
He's a lot better than decent. Robbed in many of the losses/draws he has and beat some of the top middle names of his day including Canelo according to many. Underrated fighter for sure
Lara was also robbed against Paul Williams and Hurd. As for the OP, I think Crawford is better. I wouldn't say Lara couldn't adapt in the ring but I still think he was more by-the-numbers than Bud. Lara was very good, I think Crawford is great. I do think Lara still fought tougher competition than Crawford but Crawford's career isn't over yet.
It's always hilarious to see someone celebrate because a boxer got punched as if a boxer isn't suppose to get punched. Crawford walked into clean punch while he was being the aggressor. That happens. Gamboa is an Olympian, you don't think he knows how and when he is suppose to counter an aggressor especially when they are clearly whipping on him. The Crawford Hate Club need to call for another meeting so that y'all all are on the same accord. Each of y'all are trying your damnedest to discredit Crawford while contradicting the previous hate. For years everyone claimed that Crawford was too small. "Light in the a....". etc..... when he moved up to 147. This was y'all justification for giving Spence and Thurman a pass not to fight Crawford, but face everyone else in the division. Even most recently his fight vs Madrimov the big notion is that he was at a weight in which he will be ineffective....... Now y'all pushing that he was a weight bully thus his fights at 135/40/47 mean nothing because he was "supposed" to dominate the smaller opponents. These same individuals are claiming that Lomachenko is great because of the fact he got 5 bantamweights to quit on their stool against him even though he is a natural lightweight. All I'm saying is stick to one story if you are going to hate the guy. You can't play both sides of the argument. Takes away from the fun of the debate. If he is a weight bully, let's stop the nonsense that Canelo is soooo much bigger than him.
What are you talking about dude? Your name is Boxing IQ..... I hope you aren't calling yourself this without being somewhat knowledgeable of the sport. Crawford being signed to Top Rank was not the actual issue from the fight being made. Because both Thurman and Spence were openly pursuing a fight vs Jeff Horn before Crawford fought him for the WBO title. Jeff Horn was promoted by Top Rank at the time as well. Crawford fought Felix Diaz who was promoted by PBC as well. Amir Khan's manager had a deal with PBC/Showtime during the time they negotiated the Crawford fight. The Fury/Wilder triology was proof that Top Rank and PBC can co-exist on a major card. Yes, promotional companies would rather stay in house but there are multiple examples of cross promotion being done throughout that time that shows that if Spence/Thurman/Manny really wanted to fight Crawford who was actively calling them out coming into the division, being that they were the A-side a.k.a. title holders and/or big money fights, the fight could have been made. But Crawford was a clear threat thus he had certain "standards" that had to be met that weren't in place for other fighters. Crawford had to "prove" he can handle the weight. Win a title. Had to beat Khan, Brook, Porter, had to accept the backside of a 70/30 split, Thurman demanded $10M, Manny demanded $40M (in the bubble), etc..... all standards said by the PBC fighters in order for Crawford to be considered for a unification bout. Yet, guys like Danny, Mikey, Ugas, Lopez, Barrios...........didn't get these standards put on them to get the fights. The "wrong side of the street" standard didn't exist before Crawford walked into the welterweight division. If I'm wrong, please show me where the phrase was used pre 2018......
Lara doesn't even really box he's just a track star. One of the most overrated fighters of this era, he sucks. Just been pumped up by Canelo fan boys. Never won a real world title in his life.
