Yes it is. Lara needs it to boost his fanbase and paycheck. At least he isn't fighting him at a catchweight. Canelo will lose badly IMO regardless.

All this fight is is to see How good Lara really is. If he smokes Canelo then we have to seriously consider him a viable challenge to any fighter at jrmw/mw. If he cant beat canelo then hes likely just a good fighter but not elite. Canelo is tricky because imo he got dominated by floyd because he decided to not be aggressive and tried to out box floydatsch He should have been doing what cotto and maidana did to floyd and the fight wouldve been more competitive. i dont think canelo is a bum but hes not the next great mexican fighter for sure.

 

Canelo hasn't been able to make 154 once since his fight with Floyd. This is proof he was drained when made to fight at 152.

 

I think canelos pretty good, I just think he fought like an idiot against Floyd. He thought he was faster and possibly even a better boxer, proved dead wrong. Lara's good but I think highly overrated, he was getting hit up by el perro who's slow as ****. If canelo attacks him i think he'll blow em away.

 

Canelo was literally carried into the IV room after weigh in. He fought a stupid fight because he did not have the energy for anything else. People calling him Zombirez were not exaggerating, he literally almost ended up in the hospital (from dehydration, not punches)
