DeCubas said that they never contacted K2. They cant. Haymon has to make all the matchups. Lara has very little say.

We don't know if it's possible or not, but it's probably time to find out given the dearth of viable opponents in the wake of the Johnson injury.

Haymon may turn it down, HBO may turn it down, but I believe both fighters would be willing if the financials can be sorted out. K2 should at least fire a decent offer across (perhaps in the $1 -1.5 mil range) and see what comes of it.

 

Because, as much as we'd like to see Lara / GGG, promotional issues are real and it is obvious that they are calling Golovkin out as a way to generate buzz. Let them send an actual offer. :good
