Forget whether you think Merchant was right or wrong saying what he did to Floyd, think it took INCREDIBLE balls for an 80-year-old man to say that in the face of the best fighter in the world.

Sure Larry snapped, but how many would've had the stones to do that?

Larry doesn't give a damn about Floyd. he knows he is an ATG but Larry's status is huge as well. I mean, this guy is analysing fights ever since Larry Holmes was defending the WBC Championship... He's been in there with all of them and never had any problems of bashing Toney when he lost to RJJ, shouting at people to STFU for instance when Brewster stopped Wladimir, scratching the nervs of Hopkins when he was unified MW Champ for taking on Hakkar and calling Jr Midleweights, highly attacking Lewis when he won in that way against Vitali. I mean, Toney just made fun of Jim Gray when he beat Holyfield and threw his mic down and if it wasn't for Goosen... larry rules and I hope he keeps on pushing this guy to the limit with everything, sucker punches, Pacquiao, everything...

Floyd should stick to his word. Take his money and leave. Drop by the commentators, give a shout-out, a wink and leave.

Money shouldn't give Larry Merchant any respect whatsoever.

...by doing what? Insulting you after a victory upon your return to the ring?
By beating you with his hands?

Larry Merchant has been disrespecting fighters after fights for years upon years.
Its about time that someone put him in his place and showed him he is nothing
without the interest or respect of the fighters themselves.

You calling Floyd a 'fraud' is irrational. A fraud in what way? By winning? Convincingly and repeatedly?

I hope Floyd does what he said he would do and not give Merchant the time of day.

I love the logic that anyone who doesn't suck Floyd's dick is "hater" and "disrespects him". I'm guessing you'd prefer one of Floyd's boys in there lobbing up softballs and telling him how great he is. Larry asks tough questions of fighters because that's what he's paid to do.

:good Larry is a legend. And really, it's not like he said anything that offensive to Floyd before.

When Floyd fights a boring fight like against Baldomir, Larry gives him some ****, rightfully so. When he wins a fight through a relatively cheap shot like he did against Ortiz, he gives him more **** (although really he just asked if Floyd thought it was a cheap shot). But Larry also gives Floyd props in other fights when he deserves it.

~Larry Merchant has been disrespecting fighters after fights for years upon years.~

That's what I said. Watch the post-fight interviews and prove me wrong.

There is a crowd of fight fan that likes to see fighters on the high of victory pestered by inadequate personalities with detached scrutiny and antagonizing rhetoric. Kostya Zoo, UFgators and EpsilonAxis may be of this breed (or maybe only when it comes to Floyd?).

Merchant has been covering and interviewing Floyd for years, the Ortiz interview was the last straw for Money. He put it best when he told Merchant "You never give me a fair shake.." Merchant never does in post-fight interviews.

Floyd should stick by his protest of Merchant interviews by vacating the arena post fight and drop by Jim Lampley and Emanuel Steward for formalities and be done with it.

    P.S Go Noles.

Floyd should be honored if a man as great as Larry Merchant will even talk to him. Long after Floyd is gone, no one will remember Mayweather, but the name "Merchant" will be cemented in the annals of Boxing greatness.
