He needs to prove it against top notch competition, he only KO lower tier fighters. I think he only has one good KO win against another B level fighter like himself.

I think Lemieux has 18 pure KO victories, can't think of anyone who has a higher amount, even Tyson doesn't have as many in more fights, though obviously the level of opposition is different.

Who has Lemieux knocked out at the highest level? You don't know how hard someone hits until you see them fight at the top level, fighters know how to ride punches and generally have better punch resistance at the top. Even GGGs knockout ratio has slipped since he has started fighting the top guys in the division.

Russ anber said Adonis is the hardest p4p puncher by far and he used to train both. So at least one person punches harder and I think Beterbiev punches harder than Adonis.

Valdez is a really good offensive fighter, but despite committing with every punch he doesn't hurt guys too often with a single shot. His last two fights have gone the distance, and now that he's at championship level I think the stoppages are going to be hard to come by. Gvozdyk sure didn't look like much of a puncher his last fight. Maybe they were changeups before he upped his attack and stopped the guy, but he was throwing powder puff arm punches that no true puncher should be throwing.

Matthysse is a pretty glaring omission. I'd rank him top 8 for sure. With Kovalev and Gassiev as well as Inoue above Gvozdyk and Valdez.
