Watched the fights during the 90s. Just trying to exsplain why I rank Tyson and Holyfield above Lewis. You may have a totally different way of looking at things which is np.

Lewis is one of the greats although one of the more boring greats. I have him ranked below both Holyfield and Tyson but fairly close to Tyson just for his longevity and discipline. Tysons resume equals Lewis by a long shot and is better in my opinion. He fought a better caliber of fighter. He was the last to unify all three titles separately and the youngest heavyweight champion ever. Lewis won his titles against a washed up Tony Tucker and a psycho Oliver Mcall. He might as well have come into his fight with Evander in a suit of armor he had his kidney belt pulled up so high. :patsch

Tyson the part time fighter was dispatching Lewis opponents with the same ease Lewis was, and he wasnt even training so you can take that suckers!

If that's really what you see I'd advise you to watch more of Ali and Lewis, no offense intended amigo.

I rank Holmes above him, possibly Holy. I must admit all time heavyweights, he's No higher than 7 - no lower than 12..

Yeah both Holmes and Holyfield should be rated higher than Tyson and Lewis.

No problem, I agree. We aren't solving the situation in the Middle East here.

But, seriously, what was Bowe's second greatest victory? Tubbs, whom he squeaked by? Coetzer, an under-powered Boer, whom he had to lowblow into submission? Gonzalez, an amateur hero but nobody professional?

He's had a paper-thin resume and was not durable (likely due to inattention or inability on the defensives side).

He simply is not a fighter of great pedigree.

Not in my top 10. He drew with an old Holyfield. Won the rematch with a disputed decision. Didn't fight Tyson until Tyson was totally shot. Got KOd by McCall. Won the rematch when McCall had a nervous breadown in the Ring. KOd by Rahman. Did return the favor. And got a break with Klitschko with the stoppage of their fight. No, not in my top 10.

Besides Holyfield himself his resume is not loaded. I allways thought he was very good, The Holyfield fights took a lot out of him and maybe he had commitment problems also. If Lewis had of fought Bowe after the first Holyfield fight I would have favored Bowe to win.

Lewis was no slouch though I enjoyed his fights against Mercer and Vitali. I was routing for him to knock out Hasim I thought Hasim got a little big headed. But he should never have lost against Hasim or Mccall and avenging those losses does not mean much to me.

Take it with a grain of salt im no boxing genius. Just putting my 2 cents in.

Lewis ranks outside the Top 10 as his best two wins was old washed-up fighters with Lewis victory over Holyfield very debatable (42 of 49 ringside reporters had Holyfield the winner) Lewis never beat any opponent when that opponent was "At the Top of their Game".. They was all on the downside of their career.

Tua - 250lb The Fattest man to ever fight for the Title
Golota - Took panic attack in dressing room and sedated
    Grant - Class D
Butler - more losses than wins and Class D
Tucker - Junkie who was completely shot to pieces
Ruddock - Damaged Goods after 2 brutal beatings by Tyson
    Botha - Steroid Freak
Bruno - on the downside yet gave Lewis a lesson in jabbing
Morrison - HIV and had just been hammered by Bent
Mercer - just been schooled by Holmes & Hammered by Holyfield
    Mavrovic - European Class C
Briggs - Steroid abuser on the downside
    Jackson - who?

Throw in the losses to McCall & Rahman and the way Lennox went down from their punch leaves us with his wins over Tyson (completely shot) and Vitali (fortunate)... Lennox should have fought fighters during the 1990s who was at the Top of their Game in Moorer, Holyfield, Tyson 96, Witherspoon, Holmes (after he beat Mercer) Foreman, Witherspoon, Hide (94/95) Sanders, Ruiz, Byrd, Bowe 93 & 95... No Top 10 Heavyweight in history was twice poleaxed by journeymen fighters like Lennox

Lol, at the way you dismiss Lewis but idolize Dempsey. EVERYTHING you have stated can be applied to Dempsey with the exception of steroids (unproven in most cases) and you have no rebuttal for why Dempsey was on the shitty end of the stick for his fights with Willie Meehan. :rofl
