    yes

    his signature wins
    • mentally handicapped tyson
    • over the hill holy

    good wins
    • mercer, B level at best
    • tua, B+, he looked so ordinary against tua
    • klit, legit win but who was ahead of the scorecards when the fight was stopped? and he sucked for not rematching the guy

    embarassing losses during his prime
    • rahman, mccall B+ level fighters at best

not so much of an impressive resume isnt it?

the guy was good, yes, but too bad he didnt have the opportunities to show and validate his greatness against great opponents in great fights

Who's your favourite Heavyweight of the last 20 years? I'll rip his resume to shreds. It's easily done. Trust me.

Someone plays this game with every great fighter. Lewis beat every man he was ever in the ring with, and at least three of them were great fighters themselves.

Yes, Tyson and Holy were on the downside, but no one was saying they were finsihed until Lennox got done with them.

Besides these two and Vitali, who is working on his own legacy now, Lennox fought a solid list of second tier guys including, though no limited two:

    Bruno
    Mercer
    Grant
    Golota
    Briggs
    Tua
    McCall
    Rahmen
    Ruddock

    etc.

Finally, Bowe, whom some tout as a great fighter, threw a belt in a trash can rather than climb back in the ring with him.

Or, to say it more simply, the 90's is considered either the best or second best heavyweight era, and Lewis came out on top of it. There is no caveat, no qualification that can be made.
