Since Kessler might join. Jones, Calzaghe, Dawson Hop, Johnson, Woods, Byrd. Not saying the most exciting but there seems to be alot of competition
Cruiserweight has also great potential matchups. Cruiserweight division is getting great. Oniel Bell v Tomasz Adamek Firat Arslan v Darnell Wilson (possible) BJ Flores v Enzo Mac Don't forget JMM might be making a comeback... (Not really a big fight but) Sven Ottke v Dariusz Michalczewski And its funny you mention Byrd in Light Heavy.... hes ranked in top ten Cruiser by WBC.... A lot of good potential fights comming.
welterweight is still the #1 division jr. featherweight is 2nd cruiserweight is 3rd superbantamweight is 4rth superflyweight is my 5th 6th could be light heavyweight
why would heavy even be in the running? but umm.. i'd say welterweight lightheavy jr welterweight cruiserweight lightweight
i'd say 1. Welterweight (cotto, mosley, mayweather, judah, etc. 2. lightweight (juan diaz, campbell, katsidis, casa, etc.) 3. Light heavyweight (jones, hopkins, johnson, dawson, woods) 4. heavyweight (one punch could easily end a fight) 5. Middleweight (abraham, taylor, pavlik, etc.)
Welterweight is number 1 in my eyes by a considerable distance. Another very impressive division is Super Flyweight IMO. Its prob close to the deepest of all divisions at the moment.
LH has too many 38+ has-beens. In terms of actual skill and quality i'd say welterweight - by far. And quit the whole "Kessler moving to Light-Heavy" talk - it won't happen anytime soon.
light heavys are all to old. its like a grandad tour in there. take out dawson and the average light heavy can soon qualify for a free bus pass.
with the WBA LHW strap now vacant, who is likely to contest that?? i heard a mention of kessler moving to light heavy so that adds more depth and a little more youth to the division. light heavy has produced some good fights over the years adamak vs briggs 1 and 2 stand out for me though.
Light heavy is crap. I hope Kessler won't go there. SMW is way deeper. 1. Super flyweight 2. Welterweight. 3. SMW.
