Broner is nothing without a significant size/weight advantage. And he's the recipient of many gifts.

A true POS in and out of the ring.

One fight 5 years ago or more now can’t define a fighters career.

And linares was beating Demarco widely and comfortably until the last third of the fight.

Linares v Demarco was him at his lowest point (combined with the ko to Sergio Thompson) whereas Broner v Demarco was ‘the problems’ career highlight performance.

So are they comparable? Fairly comparable and do we ignore everything since? What if Demarco fought Broner and Linares now?

Bronediggity is bigger and tougher, but Linares is more skilled, more active, has better footwork and is smarter (who isn’t?). H2H at 135 I’d take Linares. At 140, Linares but a tougher fight for him.

Oh for sure he always makes it twelve but as a fan it must be so annoying to follow him as in the big fights he always foes the same thing,in the run up to his fight with Mikey Garcia quite a few on here picked him to win and myself I don’t often give predictions but I knew Broner would do his usual fight to not get knocked out, throw very punches per round and by the time he’d lost he’d show everyone what he’s capable of.
I’ve always felt Broner losses are more a reflection of his own performance than his opponents being too good for him and he’ll never change.

    I would say it's close.

Linares is smarter and more skilled.

Broner is tougher and hits harder.

Linares gives his all,Broner throws two punches per round and basically fights to not get knocked out which is more possible at the lower weight classes.
He’s also thick as pig s*** as he tells the judges every time he’s hurt by nodding his head lol,you can score rounds off watching Broner shake his head.

Broner beats him easy. You don't think Mikey Garcia, Maidana, Porter would have mauled Linares? Linares best win is against...? Kevin Mitchell? Crolla? A very skilled guy but fragile, not enough power or durability.

Broner has at least a Draw with Jessie Vargas who would beat everyone on Linares record including Linares himself.

Linares has great technique and accuracy, but somewhat lack of durability and occasionally defense as well. I realize about this long time ago since he got KO'ed in first round by Juan Carlos Salgado who is very much a mediocre. Of course, he is tougher and more experienced nowadays, but still that problem seems to be still there. At his prime, Broner will defeat him for sure, but currently maybe Linares can edge him.

Good strategy from him to go to 140 now as there isn't many strong contender opposition there.

Call me when AB is a southpaw. Linares isn't the same guy. And his left hook would give Broner fits.
