Can you answer my question though? I want to know how you gauge fan opinion.

Yes. It's based off anecdotal evidence. I mean I could go through post histories but really I don't care. Your counter would be I can find these threads about Floyd, Pac, GGG, etc. Which is fair enough. Everything I've posted is based off my OPINION. If you disagree with it, that's cool. Why are you acting like I'm stating this as a fact?

What do you think of my dissection of his resume? It was fair right?

Ok we'll stick to present then.. Last 10 years or so. Give me YOUR analysis & breakdown of how this forum is making VL the 'MOFO the past decade or so' over all other recent fighter's?! Define first what that is & then give me the stats, numbers averages, your rationale, criteria used & why your opinion is & more valid than people who disagree with you?? Your lone opinion doesn't cut it, everyone has differing experiences posting & we all have personal bias.. You need to demonstrate, set out & show why & how this forum is pushing a more hyperbolic narrative for Loma over all others???

I actually really don't care if people disagree with my opinion on him being the most overrated. It's my opinion obviously. My biggest gripe is Loma fans trying to give Loma extra credit for things he hasn't achieved. You're guilty of this yourself. If I get you mixed up with another Loma fan I apologize. You can't blame me for mixing y'all up when I'm arguing with 50 loma stans at once. Loma fans try to give him more credit than he deserves against a fighter like Rigo because they think he "ducked him". You have to credit him for what he's actually done! He beat a nearly 40 year old moving up 2 weight divisions while being already tiny at 122.

I'm not a pontificating *******. I don't think my opinion gospel. The strongest argument so far was Mosley. However I wasn't on boxing forums when he was rated p4p #1, so it's hard for me to agree or disagree to that point. Most responses have been angry loma stans who didn't even read my thread.

Nah, that's an oversimplification. I saw a split opinion base on who wins Rigo vs Loma. If there's such a split in boxing fandom as to who wins the fight, why does Loma get no credit for beating an opponent lots of people thought he'd lose against.

2 olympic golds and world champion in his 3nd pro fight with now 10 fights for world championship belts is very impressive. What is very good is that he is young and haven't taken a break and doesn't seem to let the fame and fortune get to his head.

I think he can very well become the next Floyd or Manny if he learns English.

Also there's plenty of fighters who've done **** all but have been overrated, someone like Bute was FARRRR more overrated than Loma, an actual top level talent.

I don't base my opinion off others ffs. Let's base it off FACTS. It definitely was not a split opinion either way. Majority favored Loma. You just choose what you want to see. Which I could be guilty of myself by the way.

    -Nearly 40
    -Inactive
    -Small for 122
-Jumped 2 weight classes in 1 fight.

Another thing with Loma, the 3rd fight title win achievement, I've seen some people saying many don't get the chance to do what Loma did. Lu Bin yesterday got a chance to do it as early and failed badly against a worse opponent than Salido or GRJ. It's clearly not that easy.

Not on this forum, here, 60-70% thought Loma would win. On YT it was though. Fighters/coaches were split for sure also. Most were predicting a tough fight at the very least.

So no, even with all of that, it wasn't an easy fight on paper according to the boxing fandom.

Cafe pull up any of my predictions prior. I base credit off MY opinion. Not others. I gave Rigo no chance at all and called it a joke of a fight. Do you really think I'm being unfair with my rating of his wins? Wasn't I fair with the GRJ winning?

I do agree Bute was overrated. But not to this extent with this support. But that's a good counter.

Mike Tyson is also one of the most overrated boxers of all time in my opinion. I didn't see him in his heyday but I've seen plenty of his fight. Incredible talent, but people tend to credit him for things he didn't achieve.
