    I don't think most reasonable people would take him over past greats anyway in h2h fights except for some ultra fanboys or people who are biased.

    Like against Floyd, one is mostly disliked the other one is much more loved. So the result is people will be picking Loma out of spite. It is what it is.

    he is like a lot of boxers at this stage. He looks unbeatable he has not been tested. Then after a few years we know more answers.

    Nope.

    I'm actually not a big fan of his... for whatever reason. And I think he's vulnerable.... But if I'm being honest he's one of the most amazing fighters I've ever seen, and almost as impressive is how unique his style is... in a sport as old and heralded as boxing, there has never been someone quite like him (that I know of)

    To me... until it's shown otherwise, he's one of the few fighters I actually believe most of the hype.

    Did you read my thread though. I'm not saying he's not a great fighter. You obviously are a regular on here like myself, you don't think the hype he gets is way over the top?

    I think the hype he gets troubles you as much as it does because you focus it all being created from the agenda you are always refering to.

    Am i wrong?

    I got you. I disagree with what you said about fury though. I hardly see anyone rate him high on h2h matchups. And you know i'm not the fondest of brits.

    I think you made a really good post and I agree to a large extent with it.

    But at the same time, like I said I personally am amazed by him and think he's an ATG.

    I might not have seen the same level of hype you have or I might agree with you even more, however I'm so used to seeing completely irrational and frothing at the mouth hype for fighters with a fourth of the talent and skill Loma has, that I'm somewhat decensitized to it at this point maybe.


    But if we are talking resumes and not perceived greatness, and resumes are indeed where it matters most, perhaps I do agree with you more than my initial post implied.

    The thing is though, the thread asked not is he overrated... but is he the most overrated. Personally, Im cynical, and I find every fighter vastly overrated either in ability or resume or both. Most of them levels below Loma (imo) so maybe I'm looking the other way for a fighter I personally feel is one of the best I've ever seen, but to me I feel his hype is not that disproportionate to the hype surrounding plenty of other greats in the past or present.


    But I will say I do see where you're coming from and I agree with quite a bit of your well explained post.

    Sorry if this post is a bit incoherent... was rushed.

    Appreciate it. The thing is I recognize how good Loma is. I think there definitely is a motive for the overrating of Loma. There are certain posters on here that I know for a fact just appreciate Loma because of his skill. You're obviously one of them, but the majority just really want him to be rated high because of an obvious reason. Same goes on youtube, etc. You'll see these fans always bash Mayweather, Ward, etc.

    If loma gets in with a good counter puncher with accuracy and has shown to be effective against southpaws, then I see Loma losing.

    Lots of smoke and mirrors with Loma imo. Boxing is always boiled down to its essence when you get tested.

    You're useless at this. I have told you to set out your stall.. Boxrec doesn't really explain why you think him the 'most overrated FOAT'! You made the statement yet never really gave any serious explanation as to what prompted it! Other than a few wishy washy generalizations you haven't given anything much of substance to really back it up except going on YT & having it upset you or just giving your own personal opinion on it! I'm struggling to see how that means we should entertain the idea! As i said opinions are like arsh-holes! I have more than answered you thus far so explain yourself & stop being a coward or accept that this was another failiure & move on!
