Is Lomachenko more skilled, talented, athletic and complete than Roberto Duran was?

    loma has 6/7 fights?
    yeah, fair comparison
and not only would duran annihilate loma, he would uncreate his molecules to the beginning of the lomachenko family tree.

In that sense yeah,i've always thought of Duran as ferocious. Loma just seems more lax

If Loma had trouble with salido, imagine what Duran would have done with him. Duran was a skilled beast, he would take 1 to give you three!!

I created this thread not as a fanboy but because I've been hearing opinions all over the net that Lomachenko is already an ATG or he already has ATG talent and the ability right now to be put in a time machine and beat the likes of Duran, Chavez, Nelson, Arguello, Saldivar, Gomez, Sanchez, Mayweather.
A few even have him down as being the GOAT in terms of ability.

The fact Lomachenko is being hugely overrated is down to the fact we've been starved of such talent for a very long time. People have forgotten or are too young to understand that there have been literally dozens of boxers with equal to greater ability than Loma.

Duran would have walked through Loma like he did Buchanan. I doubt Loma could last as long as Buchanan though. Buchanan had huge heart and was made of Iron, not counting his glass testicles :D

They're about equal in terms of being the complete package. Technically Duran has the edge, athletically Leonard has the edge. Duran is the greater fighter though.

I believe the most underrated aspect of Duran was his chin. His ability to take punches even from middleweights allowed him to go to war with any fighter who couldn't hurt him. This is why as someone else said he would take one punch to deliver three. That's not to undermine his great defense and I fighting skills.

This. Loma has years to go before he can be compared to a legend like Duran.

Duran was a monster, Hands of Stone, hard, nasty and gritty. He was a pure fighter through and through. Loma is a boxer with a great skill set but he lacks that dog eat dog attitude that was Duran. He would not be able to understand the monster that was in front of him because his heart don't pump that kind of rage and lust for battle. Duran would tear his ass up.
