What separates Crawford & Loma to me his for all Loma's skill he takes more punishment than Bud. Loma has a better resume than Crawford for sure, I just think Crawford is better avoiding damage. Loma is amazing but he can get to cocky in the ring and it sometimes leads to mistakes like walking into that punch that put him on his butt against Linares. Crawford had legitimate beef with Benavidez, but didn't let his emotions or arrogance take him out of his gameplan and into danger. Otherwise I would have Loma at #1, I wasn't to impressed with Crawford against a one legged Benavidez that was barely able to move. Had him losing 3 rounds, if Loma has a dominant showing against a better opponent in Pedraza I plan on moving him into the top spot on my list.

He's taller but they both started out as natural Featherweights. Mikey might have packed on more pounds over the years, but at 135 the size difference shouldn't be that big.

Loma's ability is legit, but his resume on the other hand is extremely overrated. Ever since his loss to Salido Loma has been matched very carefully.

Loma is also given too much credit for beating Linares, who had been easily destroyed numerous times and would've been no competition for a Broner or Crawford at 135.

Loma needs to fight and beat Mikey Garcia first and then work his way up to 147, since 130 won't have any competition left if he beats Mikey and 140 is a trash division.

I see where you're coming from but Loma has better defensive ability imo, he is a lot more aggressive than Bud, he throws 2x as many punches and gets hit almost as little as Crawford, if Crawford threw as much as Loma he would already have a KO loss on his record I presume. I really want Loma to switch to a defensive counterpunching style for a few fights, I think once he starts sliding he will switch to this style just like Floyd did. I think Bud is exceptional, he has amazing calmness inside the ring but I am yet to be sold, he honestly hasn't beaten any B+ level boxers yet. We saw vs Gamboa that a more aggressive Bud can get into trouble

Half the people on here said Rigo will knock Loma out, Walters was also meant to KO Loma and punish him for his aggressive style

Exactly. Sooo many comments and threads from two years ago could be bumped to show this. Also checkout all the YouTube comments before those fights took place. It’s hilarious how many of those idiots went silent after claiming Rigo was “gonna break that hype jobs jaw doe!”

This. Walters was coming off a year layoff and a draw against the unremarkable Jason Sosa. Arum knew Walters wasn't a threat and that Walters just wanted a quick payday.

Rigo was 37 and jumping two weight classes. Rigo also had only boxed three rounds in the last two years, so like Walters was very inactive.

You see I never really understood the Walters criticism, a 1 year layoff in this day and age, you can hardly even call it a layoff. Heck, look at Joshua fighting Klitschko after 2 year layoff. Nobody gives him **** about that.

Look at Wilder-Fury, he's fighting a guy who's realistically been out of the game for 3 years. Nobody cares.

Also, the division criticism regarding Walters. People are acting as if Loma was the bigger guy fighting at 130 forever, just dragged Walters up in his first fight which is not what happened. Walters couldn't make weight at 126 so he had to move up and Loma followed him up.

And it's not like once you move up, that's it, you hit some restart button and start anew, what he's done prior to his move up still stands, especially since he fought ANOTHER guy moving up.

I understand the critique towards Rigo fight and there's definitely plenty to detract from that win (old age, moving up two weight classes, when you're really not even a big 122) I understand that. But the Walters one, the arguments are just weak and seem to stem from sour grapes more than anything.

He got Knocked down by a lightly fisted Linares.
I say he is lightly over-rated.
