This is the crux of it. He could have stayed at 126, certainly at 130, and continued to beat the hell out of them.

But I know that even if Loma had KO'd Lopez, people would be calling for him to move up another division until the size was too much.

    Exposed how?

He’s fighting way above his weight class against much larger and stronger men

He lost to a very good, young fighter

    People are stupid

The same can be said about Broner.

Over rated isn't an absolute label. It's a description which is in the eye of the beholder.

If someone said to me they have Loma as P4P number 1, I wouldn't say they over rate him.

If someone said to me they have Loma as the best FW boxer in the whole of recorded history, I would say they over rate him.

Almost everyone thought Loma would beat Lopez.

So given that didn't happen, either Loma is over rated, or Lopez is under rated.

I think the latter is certainly true to most people who, myself included, didn't even consider the possibility that Lopez might beat Lomachenko on points.

That only classifies Loma as a very good champion, but so many were talking up Loma to be an ATG, that just is'nt the case with him.
Loma has been a very good champion but nothing on his resume suggests he's amongst the the best even of his generation much less of all-time.

I largely agree with this post. Most boxing fans only remember your last fight and therefore recency bias plays an enormous role in perceptions of Loma today. I picked Lopez to win, not by much and I would pick him to win a rematch in a similar manner. Close fights but youth, size and freshness plays an enormous role.

Loma's fans played a role in the feedback you see today. He was never an ATG, at least not at this stage in his career. He could still be an ATG if he fights on for another 5 years and takes on all comers. I still pick him to beat most if not all fighters at 135 however, I think he has similar problems with Haney.

Was Floyd an ATG, certainly. TBE or the GOAT, laughable. I see Beterbiev on a bunch of P4P lists, I think that is also laughable as who has he beat of note outside Vodzyk. The fact that Beterbiev, Spence, Tank appears on some P4P lists simply illustrates how weak boxing is currently, it does not mean that these are great fighters. They may yet prove to be but they aren't yet base on their resumes.

And if anyone thinks that I am a Lopez fanboy, I don't think he is great either. He is too early in his career and he still has a lot to prove and nothing he has done, even the victory of Loma puts him on any ATG lists. If that was the case, Leon Spinks should be on that list as he beat Ali in his only notable victory. Lopez can be an ATG if he cleans out 135, 140 and 147. Until then, I will wait until I crown him.

The only fighter fighting today who is an ATG is Manny who at 41, reclaimed a WW title. Those who are declaring Fury an ATG should also hold their fire. Fury's only notable victories are against Wilder, who should never be confused with anything associated with greatness and Vlad, who like Loma, fought the completely wrong fight. If Fury beats Joshua, Whyte, Povetkin, Hrgovic, Dubois then maybe I will reconsider my assessment, but until then, is resume is way to thin.

One argument I will not accept though is that Loma is too small for 135. He won 3 belts at that weight so that argument is null and void. Is he on the small side for 135, yes, but do not try to make excuses for his loss to Lopez.

Also, for those decrying the wide scorecards, I did not see any of you complain when Loma got the same scorecards against Campbell which I thought was an 8-4 fight at best.

Lomachenko has a 14-2 record in the pro ranks.
His opposition has mostly been good, broadly "world class". He won a "WBO world title" in his 3rd official 'pro' fight, which is remarkable.
But his 14-2 is still quite a way off what would be an "ALL TIME GREAT" resume..
