Cotto had stamina problems, Pac was struggling at first and then took over, Loma was always in control here aside from the knockdown, Linares really studied Loma whereas Cotto didn`t really try to exploit Pac`s weaknesses, Bradley improved after the Pac fight when Rooney eventually took over in his corner.

Linares isn't even close to the Cotto/Bradley level. He was stopped 3 times, best wins are Crolla, Campbell, and Mitchell. He had one dominant win against Crolla. He went life and death against Campbell and clearly lost the second half after getting to a great start. The KD in the first half won him that fight. Mitchell he was down on the cards. Now there's a size argument but Cotto/Bradley are just so much better.

I find these questions difficult to answer when comparing opponents, both solid wins over genuine title holders so both the same in my book.

Not as good as either, imo. I do rate it highly though... just not as high. And its not that close either, imo.

Just the fact that Linares was the bigger guy makes it better imo as Lomos power seemed to be there though Cotto back then would have to been a handful so that would be the more impressive win.
You gotta say that both Oscar and Lomo are,we’re immensely watchable fighters, always pressing the action on the front foot and always give the crowd plenty to like.

Very few wins over the last 10 years are better than what Pacquiao did to Cotto.

We have never seen a flyweight champion dominate a strong Welterweight champion before.

Of the last 10 years its probably the 2nd best win in boxing besides Wards victory over Kovalev.

I'd say that it's right at the level of a Cotto/Bradley win. You nailed it. I rate Linares, Cotto, and Bradley as very good, not great, sub-elite level fighters. Barrera, Morales, Marquez, or De La Hoya would obviously be in a class above them.

I dont really rate Bradley. I just dont get it to be honest. I never did and never will. He has no power. Barely squeaked a decision against a 40 year old Featherweight named Marquez. He lost 3 times to another old, over the hill Featherweight.

    I just dont get it.

This. Bradley was the unified 140 WBC & WBO champ with wins over both an undefeated Lamont Peterson and an undefeated Devon Alexander. Bradley was the man at 140 for several years while Linares never came close to running a division like Bradley did.

Cotto beat an undefeated Carlos Quintana, Zane Juda, and Shane Mosley. Cotto also managed to become a champ at both 140 & 147.

Linares is a good fighter, but is not even close to being on Bradley's and Cotto's level. He isn't even on Broner's level.

Well, him and Cotto were really best at junior welter. They just moved up for money, even though both were only like 5'6" and were undersized at welter. However, their skills were such that they could still handle the bigger men. Bradley beat Witter, Peterson, Alexander, Casamayor, Provodnikov, and Vargas. Those guys are good, but not very good fighters. Cotto and Bradley are just a cut above them. They'll always be a top contender, even if they could never really be "the man" in anything but an anemic division.

A Cotto, a Bradley, or a Linares will always be defined by their excellent technical skills; but usually they are missing perhaps some elite physical ability which prevents them from taking things to the next level. With Bradley and Linares, what they were missing was power. Really, Bradley's only losses are to an ATG fighter, and that's pretty rare. He's also got 12 victories in title fights, which is pretty rare itself.

Frankly, I was never a fan of Bradley, partly because of his lack of power. But guys with no power and lots of technique exist, and with the current rule system in place, they win fights. There have been a lot of very skilled very weak men in this sport. Pernell Whitaker, Tommy Loughran, Willie Pep, Nicolino Locche, Kid Gavilan. They have their place, and a lot of people seem to enjoy what they do.

I agree some guys with no power have been excellent fighters. I just dont think Bradley is one of them. Nobody that Bradley beat was more than C level. With the exception of 40 year old Marquez.

As for Cotto he has much stronger resume and is H2H the clearly better fighter. Cotto was not great, but he was a strong champion. Capable of being the man in a solid division. He beat corley, Torres, malignaggi, Quintana, Judah, Clottey. He was the first man to beat Shane Mosley who did not have a major size advantage over Mosley. A 2007 Mosley was not prime, but still very dangerous to a guy Cottos size.

The fact that somebody uses Lamont Peterson and Devon Alexander to build up Braldeys name tells you all you need to know about Bradley. Hes a very ordinary fighter. Not anywhere near Cottos class. Hes below Linares too, but closer to him than Cotto.
