Mayweather is absolutely eviscerated on these boards for waiting till guys get old to fight them. He did it to literally every elite fighter he ever fought. Every last one of them.

Bradley does it and has controversial fights with past it, smaller and older guys and hes elevated.

I dont get it. And by the way I cannot stand FMJ. But I'm noting the inconsistencies here.

I never rated Lomas win over Rigo. Too old and small.

You ignored that fight. But then you count it against Bradley... rofl who is the same size as the guys he fought. That's what I call moronic!

I see where you're coming from. I'm inclined to disagree though. I mean JMM became an ATG for looking good in his losses. So there is some path to elevated status in losses is there not?

That said I cant go nuts if somebody rates Bradley over Linares. But rating Bradley over Cotto and I might lose my mind lol.

Cotto and Bradley are both better wins. Linares was relevant years ago. This is a past it Linares and is definitely a good win, but doesn't compare to Pacquiao's wins over Bradley and Cotto, no way.

No worries! Nothing wrong with a little debate. I just think Loma’s win over Linares was more entertaining and had a much more conclusive outcome. Loma sealed the deal with a perfect liver shot. No decision. So in a way... he knocked the fight out of another very good fighter to continue that streak. I believe Linares was physically able to continue but didn’t want to. He didn’t even try to persuade the ref he was ok to press on. Yes I know liver shots are ****ing sickening as all get out... but Linares didn’t want anymore imo. To do that to a fighter of that caliber is impressive.

I’m just talking about the win itself. Not resumes.

Cotto? No. Who said it was?

Bradley? I think Linares is a better technician whereas Bradley is a boxer brawler type. Resume wise I'd say Bradley is a better scalp, but from a purist perspective Linares.. Plus Loma was a career FW/SFW jumping up.... & it was record setting too.

LOL at Linares being anywhere comparable to Cotto or Bradley :qmeparto:

Loma's win over Linares is MAYBE a David Diaz or Ledwaba caliber win.

    MAYBE...

People are selling Bradley short BIG TIME here...

You could arguably say that Bradley is a BETTER scalp than Cotto...

Bradley came up to 147 to face Pac while Lomo went up to 135 to face Linares. So there is that. But Linares is being massively overhyped here. Tremendous victory for Lomo but you guys are sounding funny trying to mark it as some big historically relevant deal. He was the #1 guy in the division, so it's a great and very impressive win no question. But he also was among the worst #1 guys across all the divisions. LW has been a wasteland since Miguel Vazquez reigned as the top guy for several years... Linares is nowhere close to the Cotto and Bradley level. Look no further than his best opponents, how good those guys are, and how the bouts went down. Not close to the Bradley level. Cotto? Please.

I agree. Short term memory... As for Bradley being the better scalp than Cotto was at the times, it is debatable and much more arguable than the Linares win over Bradley/Cotto.
