Is Lucian Bute the best technician in the SMW division ?

kessler is a lot more technically well rounded than bute. he'd do a number on bute if they fought.

 

Perhaps you should read the history of the conversation before adding your 2 cents. Then you would realise that the guy asked for "none of the orgs, nor boxrec has either guy ranked as a SMW"....The Ring is not one of the orgs.

Kessler is the best technical fighter at 168 by far.

Bute, Mundine and Inkin are good technical fighters as well. But not near Kessler whom I regard as one of the best stylistically technical gifted fighters p4p.

He is not, yet. Anyway...you forgot about Inkin...he's pretty technical too.

 

He'd be up there, for sure, but I wouldn't say he is the BEST...

I'd probably give that to Kessler, even if Calzaghe was to stay. Calzaghe is more unorthodox, rather than a pure technician. I'd rate Bute as more of a technician than Mundine, though. Despite his "RJJ impersonations", Mundine isn't as unorthodox as you would seem at first-look. He also does his "Floyd Jr. impersonations" too.

 

As saud earlier - Bute is no way near Kessler in regards to the poll question. It shows that 17% or so dont know **** about boxing or maybe just 168.

Kessler is stylistically perfect, but vulnerable to the likes of Joe Calzaghe.

 

His defence is very, very good and he has a very impressive offensive arsenal.

You need to think before posting. Watch more Kessler fights.

Joe Calzaghe is the best fighter of our generation. Kessler went 8-4 against him. Thats pretty good.
