Hard to say how good someone is based on seeing that fight against a slow, out-of-shape, unskilled, joke.

Power against someone that easy to hit and where you can virtually wind up to throw punches is hardly transferable against a skilled heavyweight.

I agree that Byarm isn't a contender, a vet journeyman, a gatekeeper or even a prospect, but he's certainly no can. In a couple yrs ppl will be comparing his career to that of a Gavern, a Ding, or a Bahtov.:think

byarm WAS a rated prospect, not "blue chip", but he was a prospect with expectations of potential to turn into a contender. . . UNTIL he felt Mago's power, and got crunched, and thumped.

now who knows. . . it's def. a big setback, but he's still too young to be an official journeyman, but I'd say that's the path he's headed down. . . At best one day - 3-5 years, he could be a fringe contender. . . COULD be. . Something similar to Monte Barrett. . . He'll be the guy who travels the world, and is used as the "transition" guy; one of hte last "tests" they match their 15-0 prospects up against before challenging bigger fish. . . He'll be a "rated' journeyman type. .. My prediction on the level of skills/talent he has. . . DEF. not a tomato can at all. . . Or a "record padder' guy.

BUt to address the initial question posited by the OP in this thread: "Is Mago the next HW champ." The simple answer is "I don't know."

I really don't. . . It's too soon. . . He's a step behind guys like Fury, Pulev, Boystov in terms of DEVELOPMENT, and giving us a better idea of what his chances are. . . I'd say he's right on par with Jennings, and David Price as far as development, and proving his mettle thus far. . .

As of now, I'll say that I think he has the chance to throw his hat in with the rest of the younger guys (even the ones he's a step behind as far as progression, and development), but he might end up having too much trouble with the guys who can punch hard, and move/box well. . .

    Let's put this into perspective:

Imagine Mago against a prime Ali.

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Are you kidding?

He would lose against both Tyson Fury and David Price. The best fight for him now is against someone like Solis/Cameron/Boystov/Chagaev/Tua/Bowie Tupou/

All would offer a good test of where he is at.

This is quite funny, the people who were hyping Jennings after struggling against Byarm are now shitting on Mago, who destroyed that same guy in 2 rounds.

Talk about having an agenda

    Go back to Boxrec.

Come back here only once you figure that records aren't everything.

Nothing special.. You guys seen his fight against that fat brazilian couple of fights ago? He was getting tagged with every punch By nobody.. Luckily that brazilian fatty had no condition and he was gassed after first round.. Mago is good and entertaining but nothing more, nothing less. But gotta say im enjoying his fights

Right, so you'll now illustrate me as to how Jennings is better than Mago, won't you? Please go ahead, I need a laugh.
