I don't feel like writing him off completely yet as far as becoming a contender. I'm close but not there yet. Has he said anything about coming back? I searched for news about him and only turned up being mentioned on Chisora's winning streak. I don't see why this guy can't bounce back IF HE WANTS TO. He's clearly to me got more talent than several guys in most top twenty type lists. I know he has made a better career as a sparring partner but if he wants more I'd be very interested in seeing him against somebody like Hammer or Browne or Charr. Anybody else interested or heard anything? Would NBC want him back for a Glazkov rematch if Glazkov beats Adamek (God knows if he does).

I like Malik. He has skills. Adds variation to the heavyweight division.

Also seems like a cool guy. I was shocked that he lost to Chisora. I honestly thought he would deal with him.

I'd like to see Scott come back, I think he could beat some top 20 guys. Not sure if he has the fire in the belly though, he took a 3 + year absence before, then got on a roll and shoved mercilessly off the roll by Chisora. Now he's in his 30's, with less hype, boring style limiting money opportunities with everything else. Not sure he'll want to put the effort into fighting back to contender status.

This guy is like a Charlie Zelenoff that's actually a boxer.

A hideously deluded man who was put in his place by Derek Chisora.

I always wonder what these guys do for a living who hardly ever seem to fight? He must either already be rich somehow other than boxing or has a day job?

Scott is still undefeated really. He was the victim of crooked officiating which, sadly, is becoming common in Britain.

hes never been interested in a fighting career obviously, with his incredibly weak resume, no wonder he had stayed undefeated

He's got the skills and the experience to hang with anyone, but the Chisora fight was unforgiveable. Yes, it was a hard punch against the ropes that landed at a really awkward angle, but it wasn't hard enough to make him black out and lose track of the count.
I'm not sure if he just gave up or if he was really that out of it...either way, fighters who claim to be "the most skillful heavyweight in the world" don't let a fight end like that.

I agree that Brit refs have been questionable lately, but he should have known better than to wait until the count of 9 to get up.

I was thinking the same thing recently. I know many boxers don't make a ton of money when they fight and yet they still don't fight very often.

You'd think they'd fight more often just to get the bills paid.

Makes sense that he's made/making a good living being a sparring partner. Unfortunately, that mentality rubs off too much in his actual fights. He strikes me as a bit of an underachiever, but the sparring partner mindset can be hard to shake.

Scott is nothing more than a poser. His 2 biggest fights in his career ended up a draw and a loss.
