Im a massive Pac fan...but that statement is just false...Morales was battle weary and not in his prime...This is pretty obvious.

Throughout the career of Pacquiao from Barrera on, all I have heard were excuses and discrediting... I really don't know if Pacquiao will ever get the credit he deserves from the minority of his detractors... I am pretty sure Pacquiao's detractors have been loyal to their ways and remain the same no matter if Pacquiao beats Hatton or Floyd.. They will always find some reason to take away victory from Manny... How many fights has Manny been in since Barrera? Have these guys ever given him credit????

Barrera 1 -no credit though Barrera was lb for lb #3 in the world. Pac moving up in weight.
Barrera 2 - no credit Unanimous.
Marquez 1 - no credit Close fight
Marquez 2 - no credit Close fight.
Morales 1 - no credit Haters would say Morales put a beat down in a close fight that warranted a rematch. Pac's first fight at 130lb
Morales 2 - no credit Redemption in the worst beat down of Morales' career.
Morales 3 - no credit Even worse beat down
    Larios - no credit
    Diaz - no credit
De La Hoya - no credit De La Hoya follows the exuses of those before him in the worst beat down of his career.

What has Pacquiao done then to deserve even being #1 lb for lb...
It seems that Manny is nobody that supercedes expectations so much that it just cant be credited...

The haters may continue to hate, but the objective fans give him his due which is what really matters (and yes the "huggers" worship the ground he walks on, moving on).

Personally, what Pac has achieved throughout his career is remarkable. Facing dangerous opponents and often coming into his biggest fights as an overwhelming underdog and prevailing despite the odds. He deserves major props from trueblooded boxing fans.

Where's the thread that he beat more HOF's than some of the top ten ATGs?

The nice thing about these haters is their consistency.Throughout PacMan's career, their routine just keeps going over and over. But the problem is Pac just keeps proving them wrong.I wonder what will happen to them when Manny retires...

Prime Qawi and Mustapha are easily as good as any scalp on either of their records.

His wins(maybe one wasnt) over Holmes are better then eithers over De La Hoya...in the sense that Holmes was still the champ and a capable fighter..even if he is in his twilight...whereas De la Hoya was not.

Not to mention Spinks fought Sutherland, Wassaja, Johnson and Lopez ...Spinks era was certainly tougher then Roy's by a clear margin..in fact one of the toughest you will find.

Add to that again that Spinks would be a top5 H2H fighter in one of boxings oldest and most revvered division...whereas pac would not be in any division he fought in except possibly the less then stacked and relatively young 122...Mayweather wouldnt either apart from 130...and even thats debateable in a lot of people's eyes.

I also think taking on the biggest monster in boxing at the time when Michael was just about finished is about as ballsy as you can get..even if the fight was a blow out.
