Not yet, but a win over Oscar or Hatton(both would be better) would rank him right away. Not to take anything away from him, but boxing has a big history...

Let's give Manny Pacquiao an applause for taking on tough challenges. He still isn't top 50, there's to many holes in his resume. His skillset is underwhelming.

Some people here think Boxing began and ended with Manny Pacquiao.

Not really, because most fighters do the bulk of thier best work before the age of 30. Look at what Oscar did before his was 30.

    Vargas
    Mosley
    Trinidad
    Quartey
    Chavez
    Whitaker
    Camacho
    Molina
    Gonzalez
    Leija
    Hernandez
    Ruelas

Pac isnt even close to that. I could go though about 20 to 30 fighters since 1990 but it takes to long.

How so? In pacs marquee fights, he usually wins. Now Oscar, well.......you know (i.e, tito and Floyd). I guess its a matter of opinion, you devalue Pacs biggest wins( even if he's knocking them out) while overvaluing Oscar's, underwhelming performance against Pernell (which I think Oscar lost). And how does 2 close losses to Mosley count as a legacy builder? If nothing else, it illustrates what is lacking in Oscar's career....that is, all things being equal; he disappears in big fights.

We all have opinions. Here's mine: what distinguishes Pac's career from Oscar is that Pac is more of a risk taker. When the stakes are higher, the hungrier he is. The bigger the spotlight, the more willingness to perform. Can't really say that much about Oscar. Even just from that perspective, I would say Pac's career stands out over Oscar's.

This is a post of a Pac sack swinger.....Look man You talk about fight were Oscar didnt really win???? What about Pac??? OMM both fights with JMM, the fight with Sanchez and the VERY VERY odd fight with Nedel Hussein that just cries CORRUPTION. Its not even close, yeah Oscar didnt win all those fights but neither has Pac. Your point would only be valid if pac was unbeatten and he isnt and could/should have 6 or 7 loses right now and he is only 29:hey and not past his prime:good

More of a risk taker??? BUL**** there is no risk in fighting Oscar he is going to lose and most sane people know that, the Risk would have been to not fight Oscar and fight Campbell. Not that I think that Campbell has a better shot of winning then Oscar, because you cant get higher then 100:lol: . But because there is no built in excuse for losing to Campbell. after Pac loses to Oscar he will go back down in weight and no one will think less of him, if he loses to Campbell then one of the wheel would fall off his bandwagon, and he would take a huge hit.

lol at you if you think that agapito sanchez (rip) beat pacquiao using low blows and knees. he has only 3 losses, two when he was a skinny kid and one from the great erik morales which is not a shame considering he is the one moving up in weight. lmao if you think pacquiao already has 7 losses.

I think so. Especially, if he wins on Dec 6th. DLH fan or no, you gotta love what this victory would do for boxing and one obviously somewhat in question on ATG status. In light of this sentiment I must say, "Go Manny"!

Not shocked since there is about that many of you that think his next fight is actaully REAL. this is what the old time boxing people would call a "CASH OUT" fight. Meaning its a fight were a guy is taking a fight he knows he cant win for the money...IE Louis vs Rocky, Ali vs Holmes, Leonard vs Norris, Duran vs Joppy...thing is it most always happens at the end of a fighters career....Pac has NOOO Shot at beating Oscar, unless Oscar trips and bumps his head on the stool ala Million Dollar Baby:hey

I would be the first one to give Pac his dues....However I really just hope he doesnt get hurt...That may be a death blow to boxing in the States if anything bad happens....I already saw on FOXsports that they were talking about they cant believe that "boxing" would let this fight happen.
