It's not over by far. Arum will milk him for as long as he can. There are lots of Rios like fighters out there. He just needs to stay away from fighters who can move and JMM.

That sucks he should retire. Why be Arums gatekeeper? Pac is a great champ, he has money and another career waiting for him. Why become a cliche?

When you consider the length of his career, his age, and his fighting style things aren't looking good for Pac already. Then he got his Filipino Glass shattered, that is a recipe for disaster. It is very very unlikely Pac comes back from this and regains any semblance of his old form.

Who is he going to fight? There aren't many guys that Manny can fight that make sense for him business wise. Bradley and Rios really. Marquez won't fight because Top Rank won't pay him what he wants.

My old buddy Randall Tex Cobb put this into perspective when he asked "Whats the difference in tennis & boxing "??
Answer was " Screw up in tennis its 15-love Screw up in boxing & it your ass on the canvas baby" lol

all hangs on the rios fight... i mean there is no arguing pacquiao is past his prime but one legit loss to marquez and its over? hell i had him winning the fight up until the knockout and loosing to marquez is no sign of anything because pacquiao and he have fought multiple times all of which were close fights

if pac cant beat rios whos style is tailor made for pacquiao then that tells me he should hang them up (and i honestly think he will)

it lost its appeal because both pac and floyd steamrolled there divisions and both had auras of invincibility.. so when you chuck 2 fighters like that in the ring you know one of them has to come out on top

if u watch juan manuel marquez ko his sparring partner with that same punch in the leadup to the 4th fight with pac ull notice he was getting beaten by his sparring partner but he was picking his shots looking for the one that counted... its what a smart boxer like marquez does

pacquiao got overly aggressive and fell into his natural rythem of "double feint jab , LEFT HAND"" marquez picked it off really well

because floyd does not choose when he gets to fight pacquiao .. bob arum will be choose that....

also floyd has a contract so we know how many fights he has left, pacquiao on the other hand has not looked the best in recent times and realistically we could see him retiring if he loses another fight

Youre right on one point The fight will never happen but not because of Top Rank Arum or whoever its because Mayweather is scared shitless of losing that 0. Do you honestly believe Canelo has any chance of winning a decision over Floyd in Vegas??? :patsch Not even if he knocks him down 3 times.
We'll see where Pac stands in the Rios fight. I think he'll be OK as far as the KO went but am concerned he's losing the fire in his belly. Time will tell

Beating Rios, a guy who has never been above 140 and los his last fight does would not put Pac or any other fighter as one of the top guys in the division ...

I agree with you. Marquez finally go the Memo that he would never win a decision so he stayed in the pocket looking for what he got the BIG KO. Moreover, that KO settled it once and for all and Marquez has every right to feel like he has nothing to prove and demand concessions from Pac.

IMHO... that brtual well timed KO ended Pac's prime period. Sure, Pac might beat some cherry picked opponents but he is no longer elite and should think twice getting back in the ring with someone like Marquez, Rios, or Mathysse.
