    2019

    Adrien Jerome Broner (33-3-1)
    Keith Fitzgerald Thurman Jr. (29-0-0)
    • Pacquiao gave up 10 years in age and size/weight to Broner and Thurman
    • Pacquiao completely shut out Broner (something that Maidana, Mikey, and Porter couldn't do)
    • Pacquiao dominated Thurman, a huge, prime, much bigger, undefeated champion and young lion

Other dudes who could challenge Pac for the title (not in my opinion, but others could see it):

    Naoya Inoue
    • Emmanuel Rodriguez (19-0-0)
    • Nonito Donaire (40-5-0)
    Andy Ruiz Jr.
    • Anthony Joshua (22-0-0)
    • Anthony Joshua II (22-1-0)
    Errol Spence Jr.
    • Mikey Garcia (39-0-0)
    • Shawn Porter (30-2-1)

Crolla and Campbell aren't enough for Lomachenko to take it.

Crawford will have Khan and most likely Egidijus Kavaliauskas. Very underwhelming year.

Certainly seems up there, crazy to think. I believe if Spence beats Porter convincingly he ends up above Pac. Obviously if Ruiz beats Joshua again then he takes the cake (and eats it too).

I think the fighter of the year will be between Canelo, Ruiz and Estrada.

If Canelo beats Andrade he's the FOTY

In fact that may make him Fighter of The Decade.

Yes, but it's not like baseball where there's like 60 more games to play and teams can turn it around.

For the most part, we can make logical guesses on who is fighting who next.

Definitely is not the fighter of this decade.
Mayweather has more of a claim

    Definitely not.

Floyd ducked Pacquiao for 5 years and then was caught using illegal IVs. Then he closed out his career with a pathetic whimper in fighting Berto, an 0-0-0 MMA fighter, and a silly exhibition in which he outweighed some kid by like 30 pounds.

Plus activity counts. His last boxing match was against Andre Berto in 2015.

Let's not go into this again and at least try to stay on topic. Pac certainly has a chance for this but I think my vote will go to Inoue.

Yes, Pacquiao is definitely not the fighter of the Decade.

Well given the fact Pacquiao didn't take the tests I don't see how it's Floyd ducking.
Berto won a belt at WW. That's exactly the same Thurman has done. And let's see how Pacquiao ends his career.

Any way all of that is irrelevant, Mayweather this decade has beaten Canelo, another candidate for FOTD, beat a much better Mosely than Pacquiao did, Cotto and Maidana twice and schooled Pacquiao. He's higher up than Pac, who was clearly the fighter of the 2000s

They came to an impasse in 2009. But after the first round of negotiations, only one man remained consistent and that was Pacquiao. Pacquiao said that he would concede and take any test Mayweather wanted him to take. One simple message that never changed. Mayweather would go on to lie and say that no negotiations took place in 2010 (lie exposed by neutral party Ross Greenburg of HBO), offer up a pathetic lowball fee, saying that he didn't need to fight Pacquiao (using Ali as an example of a fighter who fought guys they shouldn't have fought), and then saying Pacquiao had to leave Arum/Top Rank or there would be no fight. Excuse after excuse after excuse. And Mayweather literally said that he waited until the time was right to fight Pacquiao.

Andre Berto is and has always been hot garbage. Guerrero turned him into an alien and then he was stopped by shot-to-smithereens Jesus Soto Karass. The fact that you even compared Berto to Thurman...

Pacquiao's victory over Mosley was much more impressive than Floyd's. And Pacquiao fought him one year later, so how was the Floyd version much better? Mosley had a massive size advantage over Pacquiao and the styles suited him better because he didn't need to find Pacquiao. Mosley promised war, but Pacquiao dropped him and shut him out over 12 rounds. Not only that, Mosley was running from survival.

Maidana was paid 1.5 million dollars to wear gloves he neither liked nor was familiar with. And many people had Floyd losing their first fight.

Canelo was drained and a zombie on fight night.

Mayweather cheated and used illegal IV fluids against Pacquiao. Only a hater would say a schooling took place.

Pacquiao clearly has a much better case for being FOTD over Mayweather.
